So. As we know from previous BioWare developed games, each companion that accompanies the player-character along their journey has some sort of backstory/plot, that, the player-character might resolve or become a part of (in the present day). Be it confronting Carth Onasi's former mentor in The Knights of the Old Republic that he spoke of quite often, or, reuniting Alistar with his sister in Dragon Age: Origins, finding out he's the child of former King Maric and half-brother of King Cailan etc. Dragon Age: Inquisition will more than likely be no different in this regard. 

 

So to the question itself, and to the actual purpose of this thread. What do you fine folks believe will be some of the secrets, the hidden things, some of the stories, some of the plots, involving the rather large cast of companion characters and advisors in Dragon Age Inquisition? Be them your favorites or not.

Well, we know one of them:

Josephine's personal questline involves thwarting an assassination attempt on her and it sounds as if it has to do with Antivan politics regarding her family.  It was in one of the recent streams.  They showed two ways to 'solve it':  Josephine's approach was to go through official political channels, which would take more time.  Leliana's approach was more direct and involved confronting the assassins directly.  The devs picked Leliana's approach and then it went to a timed side-quest.

I think Solas' personal quest will involve that sealed up ancient temple in the desert. I don't think Solas is his real name and we'll find out why he calls himself that.

Probably one of them will concern Varric and his former relationship with Bianca- her death has never actually been confirmed, and it has been implied that she might be alive. In that case, I can see Varric desperately wanting to reconnect with her.

 

Also, Iron Bull- He's connected to the government of the Qun in some way; his quest will cause him to be torn between his loyalties to the Qun, and his new loyalties to the Inquisition. I'm going to make him go with the Inquisition. Do. Not. Like. The Qun.
