Actually it is the other way around.
Act 1, Awakening.
No, Anders can't be in 2 places at once.
The prologue is during the blight and awakenings. Act1 is after.
? Is that confirmed?
Every time we see Hawke with 3 companions we don't see Inquisitor and this is gameplay not cinematic

^^ This. Awakenings takes place approx 6 months after the Blight is done. Act 1 is after Hawke has been with the merc/smuggler group for a year following the prologue.

Awakening = + 1 Year (Origins time span) + 6 month
Act 1 = + 1 year (merc/smugler).
How many appreciate that news ![]()

Explain Anders' presence in Kirkwall as a Grey warden before he could even BE one then?
So DAO/A = 18 months
Prologue = 12 months with smugglers + time to travel via ship to kirkwall
Act 1 could be after the events of Awaking but only if it took 6 months to travel via ship to Kirkwall

Act 1 has 1 year time span. Game assumes you meet anders after a few months. Not right after start of act 1.
I think there might be an continuity error here. The blight lasts about 6 months, then other six months pass untill the events of awakening. With witch hunt happening about an year and a half after the events of Origins. That would require Anders to quit the wardens pretty much right after the mother was slain.
Anders must have left right after i killed justice other wise my warden would have killed him for taking justice into him and i never made him get ride of his cat so he is full of Chit in DA2 lol
Well - I finally found something I don't like about DA: I.
Ahh well - I'm designing a Hawke I find palletable currently anyway cause I have to make peace that Hawke will be in game regardless and currently, I despise DA2 - so maybe I'll be able to change my own perspective before I'm "maybe" forced to play Hawke.

And you can't assume Hawke doesn't leave Lothering a couple months after the warden passes through? It doesn't get overrun till after the first treaty? It's not like he teleported to Kirkwall the day the warden wandered through Lothering!!
Nor did Anders just meet the Warden and decide the following week, "Hey, Justice, let's blow this popsicle stand."
Timeline in this game has always been a little hinkey to start with. The book doesn't clarify it much better.
Remember, there are periods where things can overlap. I will accept that argument, but saying Act 1 of DA2 happens before Awakenings is stretching it.
Me I hope we can play Hawke for part of the game.
Replaying DA2 recently, and I have to admit that both male and female Hawke have grown on me. It would be a pleasant surprise to play as Hawke in DAI as brief as that may be.

Works for me.
YES! Your tears of anguish give me POWER!

Yeah I'm psyched for the potential to play Hawke!
Also, the slow-mo of Hawke + Grey Warden approaching "Blinky" made it obvious that this warden is indeed Alistair.
Nah its not alistair its beven lol
