Sumalee for my first Inquisitor, a Dalish. She's a hardass so Sumalee's lower, more masculine voice suits better. Plus I don't really like English accents. (AWR is sweet tho, does great work and her voice is nice)

I'll use Sumalee if AWR's voice sounds too much like Traynor. I didn't care for that character much (and her hypochrondriac tendencies) in ME3 and I don't want to spend a play-through picturing her instead of the badass Inquisitor I'll have spent so much time customizing, lol.

depends on the race but most likely both, maybe English more for the ascent

After hearing the British and American accents for the Male Inquisitor, I'm without a doubt picking British. I'm pretty disappointed in the American accent, it sounds waaaay too deep and rough for my personal taste.

To be fair, the American voice is "meant" for dwarves and qunari, who should have deep and rough voices. I'd be incredibly disappointed if we had no deep voice for those races.

My favorite accents are the male British one and the female American one, but I'm going to make Inquisitors like this:

Humans - British VA's

Qunari, Elves & Dwarves - American VA's

I may sometimes play an elf with a British VA to switch things up, but the above is going to be my default.

I'll probably use the British Male voice in my first play through, because my second (Male Dwarf) will be using American Male.

I'll have to hear the American Female voice, though it's Marjory Delaqua so I'm sure it'll be fantastic.

British Male - 1st PT (elf)

American Female - 2nd PT (human)

American Male - 3rd PT (dwarf)

British Female - 4th PT (qunari)

I'll probably just go with the most lore friendly, default options for each race.

So British Male for my first Inquisitor, who is human. American female for my Qunari female, British female for my female human etc.

British Female voice, all races.

Default Male voice, all races.

I think Alex Wilton Regan has done a better job from what I have heard out of both the female voice actresses. That's probably why she is the only one to have any coverage on the BioWare Base Youtube Channel.

I still wish there was a Bruce Campbell voice. But I'm probably going with the British voice for my Elven lass.

The British one of course, there was no USA in the Middle Ages.

Both male voices are too deep for my taste but I play female PCs anyway so I'm not too bothered.

I like Alix's voice, I just wish we'd hear more than "ATTACK" from the american female VA then I'll choose whichever I like best.

British for human female.

Not sure for elves. Jon Curry seems really gruff though, definitely a good fit a Dwarf/Qunari. Sumalee Montano might be good fit for a Dalish, but I will have to hear her a bit more.

That makes absolutely no sense. British English has evolved considerably since the middle ages. Modern British English is much more similar to American English than it is to English from a thousand years ago.

For my first inquisitor (Female Qunari) it will be American since to me it fit's her character. My second (Male Dwarf) will be British. I picked them based upon if it 'feels' right for them.

I've never really used these forums; could someone tell me where to hear the two different male voices?

I was assuming I would use an American voice, because America #1 (and also to have a change from Hawke's voice), but if it's gruff, then maybe not.

I was thinking the american one for my elf and my qunari, and the british one for my human(s) but could change when I get to hear them properly and if it fits their face after I create them, etc

I will be using both voices each one for its disignated race playthrough, I just wish my inquisitor would say "oblivium sempiternum daemonis" after killing the boss demons! Lol.

The Middle Ages lasted from the 5th to the 15th century, while the transition from Old English (which is more similar to modern Icelandic than to modern English) to Middle English happened in the 11th century (after the Norman conquest in 1066), and the transition from Middle English to Early Modern English happened sometime in the 15th century, the USA was formed in the late 18th century, in any case the British accent and vocabulary are more fitting to a Medieval setting than the American accent and vocabulary are.

Totally changed my intended first playthrough after hearing the American Male (Jon Curry) voice - I think he sounds great, and more than a little like the Baldur's Gate narrator.

I'm thinking it'll work pretty well as the voice of my Avery Brooks lookalike inquisitor. Hopefully I can achieve this with the Qunari CC, as I think the Mercenary / Outsider background will work better for my character than the Noble / Circle Human backgrounds.

You can hear a small clip of the American male voice here https://www.youtube....h?v=rkT_ugwDHzA at around 21:39. I'm not sure if we've heard more of it in any other videos yet.
