Failed at opening Dragon Age Toolset. I just downloaded the Toolset because you seem to need it for new hairstyles. So after long installing ( some things of microsoft failed , don't know if this may cause this issue)

I wanted to open it and it says the following :
"Unable to connect to the database.

Run the toolset configuration program and verify
your settings or search the toolset wiki http://social.bioware.com/... to help with this issue.

This toolset must now exit.

                                                           OK "

So I checked the social bioware thing but can't help me :s it seems
and don't know the toolset configuration program and my settings aren't changed as I just wanted to open it for the first time.


Please help me community :s

The SQL Server (BWDATOOLSET) service needs to run. You may need to start it manually.

Just use Start->Run and enter services.msc to bring up the local services overview.

Looks like your SQL Server installation failed. Try uninstalling any software package starting with Microsoft SQL Server... (there are four on my pc) and the Dragon Age Toolset.



Reinstall the toolset and take a deeper look at the error message you get when installing SQL server (if any).

mmmh there was but i tryed to solve it than ..

the Help bottum was not much of a help, sentences are to difficult for my english :s



but i'll try and post here , hope you intend to help me more

think i got it put off my virus as i need to put it off for a lot of online games..

seems needs it also to acces things , let's see what it gives

Same problem again..
I downloaded MSSQL Express 2005 first and everything went fine..

so downloaded the toolset again and same thing happened , something went wrong...
and doesn't work.. One of the 5 things of SQL doesn't work the one above, there was a link to a text document.
I opened the text thingy and it says a lot , I think too many to post here.. ( still got it open )

but reported this thing and clicked next but after that the same message popped up when trying to open tool of Dao

Please someone help me :l

if you just want to use the hairstyles than you don't need the toolset as far as i know

the "better hair styles" mod by "Ren" works without the toolset as do the vibrant colour mods

there are one or two other hairstyle mods out there, but they require the toolset but you could wait some days and someone will create a mod for them to work without toolset



So far for the hair issue, as for the database:

have a look at the wiki(Sorry, but there is a kindof walkthrough for that issue)

I had the same error and the wiki article helped me out although i can't tell you what you have to do but it is in the wiki for sure

you could also use the searchfunction of this forum and find at least 5 posts with the same problem and solutions for the same.
