Well, in DA:Keep, there are three options:

 

1. Did not encounter Goldanna
2. Helped Alistair find Goldanna
3. Did not help Alistair find Goldanna

What option hardens him? 1 and 3 sound the same and 2 doesn't sound like the hardened choice.

 

Whereas for Leliana:

 

1. Did not encounter Marjolaine
2. Sent Marjolaine away
3. Had Marjolaine killed

3 sounds like the hardened option, because it changed Leliana whereas 2 didn't change her. She still remained the forgiving type.

 

Hardened Alistair, if he was king, actually took the job seriously, he studied on how to become a good king. "Normal" Alistair didn't so much learn to be a good king rather, he spent a lot of the time drinking and sharing merriment with people. I think that is going to make a difference to how he will appear in DA:I.

 

Leliana already looks hardened from what I've seen so I doubt it makes that much of a difference what option is chosen rather, how Marjolaine might appear in DA:I.

I'm pretty sure Justin said in one of the twitch streams that it'd be unlikely for us to get anymore Alistair tiles (at least any that have an impact on other decisions in the Keep) at this time.  The logic surrounding the Alistair tiles is already kind of like a stressful game of Jenga.  Adding another one is only going to further complicate matters.

 

Also, as someone pointed out, it's possible to assume whether or not Alistair was hardened based on other choices - and even in cases where it's unclear, the events of Origins took place 10 years ago.  It's likely time hardened him regardless of the Warden's involvement. 

Jenga is a perfect metaphor.

 

I tried to address this thread in the latest Twitch stream, but you have the idea... Maybe, but its really hard adding questions to this area of the plot.

Okay, how about which choice *does not* harden him?  This is something I want to be clear in my Warden Alistair worldstate.

 

I'd say didn't encounter Goldanna and didn't help Alistair find Goldanna would prevent hardening from ever happening.
