I guess I'm a little confused on how it will work out logistically.

 

From what I've read while (or after) we are playing DAI, our choices are being uploaded to the Keep for future games.

 

How will this work if I want to replay the game with the same worldstate I used to begin that game?

 

Would I need to make a "pre-DAI" clean copy?  Or if I choose to use that same worldstate, will it overwrite the previous choices?

 

I realize we are up to 9 worldstates (hopefully more eventually).  I'm sure I'm like most, trying to maxmize all the choices possible.

The keep will record your DA:I choices, but ofc if you want to mess AGAIN with the two previous games choices, you can do that and re-upload everything to DA:I. 

 

The game will only read DA:O and DA2 tiles and that's that.
The same will be if they ever release a fourth title.

But will that count as another worldstate?  I suppose it would. Any word on upping the number of worldstates? I haven't been able to watch the Twitch streams.

 

I realize 9 is alot.  Just asking if it has been discussed.

I believe that the post game da: I states is separate from the 9 slots pre da:I we create. We might need clarification from the Keep team. That is a good question to ask on the twitch stream later today

@DragonAgeKeep #keeptwitch when we complete DA:I story the decisions that upload to the Keep take a world state slot or make a new one?

From what we know is that when you play in the game. Choices will be uploaded to the worldstate.

 

Inquisition cannot read it's own data back from the keep, so if you start a fresh playthrough with the worldstate it will see the data it can use and use that. Probably overwriting the previous DA:I choices uploaded to the worldstate

I would just make a copy of the worldstate, personally, before doing your second run.

Check the stream from the 7th. They show off some upcoming updates to the Keep which includes managing of DAI world states. Don't remember how detailed they go.

You upload a world state and that's what you use in DAI, I can't see why making a new save will affect that.
