This amuses me.  All the people saying "Cullen sucks, I won't use him, want to kill him, etc."  One of the best perks (Unlocking the 2nd and 3rd focus tiers) is part of his purview.

I'm glad he has solid stuff, oddly if I can he will be my second advsior of choice. The spy master is the one I am not to big on at the time, but we will see.

Thanks for the list!  The extra dialogue option perks will be my first priority.  :)

This is why mutually exclusive upgrade choices based on tiers are better.

Like they did in SC2

This would mean choices are more meaningful

This would mean the upgrades are abit fewer, but has more impact
This would add to the replayability factor

Not a fan of slight and generic upgrades, Id rather have fewer but bigger upgrades for each with higher actual impact on the gaming experience.

Seeing as how we will not be able to get all perks get everything that has nothing to do with exp gain and that will allow you to do more or make for longer gameplay granted I like to grind where as others may not.

Favor for a Favor is the only 10% discount perk in connections. Sterling Reputation should read +10% for selling items.

Thanks for the correction! I'm sorry that screenshot is wrong. Most of those were on screen for less than a second.

Thanks a lot for compiling this.  It's awesome.  FYI the description for "Mage schematics" is repeated under "More healing potions".

If this were a 30 hour game I might agree with you.  But in a game that is supposed to span 150-200 hours having large but few upgrades could very easily make the player feel like growth is being stunted.  It's important in a game like this to always make the player feel like he's developing.  Small consistent upgrades in my opinion make more sense for a game of this size.

A valid point, I stand corrected.

Thank you for this!

Do we have any idea how many perks we'll get to pick in total, and how quickly we might be able to get the first few? If Influence "levels up" like normal XP at continually increasing intervals, then I'm thinking we should be able to pick up at least a few fairly quickly. I was hoping to be able to get the dialogue options very early and then focus on the others.

I'm also expecting that the new "dialogue options" unlocked by these perks include ones that will make a difference (like those charm/intimidate options in Mass Effect, as mentioned above, which weren't available without a certain amount of reputation). To my mind, it'd ultimately feel like a waste of a perk if it only opened up "Investigate" options or purely conversational things.

ETA: I also suspect there are further Connections perks lurking below "The Short List". If you look at the slider to the left of the list, it's nowhere near the bottom when "The Short List" is highlighted, whereas in the other perk lists the last option appears higher on the screen and the slider goes all the way to the bottom.

I think if you grind enough visit most places in detailed try to cover most secrets side and main missions to war table quests etc. you will eventually be able to get all the perks

I believe they have said that you can't get everything in one playthrough.

There's an achievement for

Spoiler

It's actually one of the harder achievements it seems or at least takes a while longer because it's worth more points than most of the other achievements (for Xbox). The only thing I'm unsure of is how many perks we get per rank of the inquisition. If it's one, I would guess maybe around 15 at higher end or max?

I'm not sure. It's mostly conjecture.

Speech Perks first, Arcane Knowledge and Underground Knowledge might be pretty useful.

20 I could live with. (That's actually exactly the number of perks that I have on my "must get" list based on what we've seen so far.) I would be really happy with a couple more, though, especially if we haven't seen all the Connections perks yet.

@Astrolabe Thanks for pointing out that achievement! 10 would feel like way too few perks, IMO, so I'm hoping that we get 2 perks per Inquisition level if it's capped at 10 or that level 10 is halfway or so for Influence.

On a related note, I'm also wondering what percentage of perks the devs intended for us to be able to get. 50%? 75%? I'm fairly confident it's not 100%, as has been said, and I'm ok with having to choose. I'd be disappointed with anything less than 50%, but even 75% is starting to feel like a pipe dream.

It all seems interesting enough to me.

I would like to have them all, perks to get mo money, mo dialogue options, mo focus...

Sadly you probably can't get them all, but that's what multiple playthroughs are for  :D

wait i thought these perks were unrelated to PC leveling up and more to do with the Inquisition Leveling up. So the more Power or Influence you get through main /side/war table mission you level up the Inquisition to a certain amount and get these perks. Am I wrong in assuming this??

+5% combat XP probably isn't great.  I mean, in DA2 a 5% bonus to all XP would be 60% of a level by level 25, but quest and other stuff usually contributes quite a bit.  And if XP rewards scale significantly based on relative level, then an XP boost could get significantly worse.

Oh..by that logic then I have a hard time seeing us getting the Inquisition higher than lvl 10 or 15 maybe

I have a feeling lvl 10 would be more closer to reality...

If yes then, it can be either 10 or 20 perks....

Now a quick count from the pics show 33 perks maybe I am wrong and assume it will be between 30 - 35

So 20 perks 2 perks per level up...will cover around 2/3rd of the total. Which will leave a significant part left for replay while giving us enough to feel we have progressed...

What say all?? This makes sense  or you think total perks we get will be lower or higher??
