You know this all depends on who I like the most.  :P  From what I've seen so far though it will probably be Solas (LI), Varric or Cole for rogue slot and either Blackwall or Cassandra for warrior slot. Generally, I like to take two warriors, a rogue, and a mage. But since I plan on playing a elf mage and romancing Solas I'll have to put that aside. I guess I could play a warrior myself, but I've wanted to play a Dalish mage since Origins.

As to why:

Solas: Solas is going to be my Lavellan's love interest, I find the fact that he's a hedge mage, a fade expert, and the fact that he's extremely race and gender gated to be intriguing. I want to know these "super story sense" reasons for him being so gated.

Varric: Was my Hawke's best bud so I'm excited to have him back and hear what he has to say about the Champion. It will be interesting to see how Varric has changed or how Varric really is when he's not telling the story.

Cole: Ever since I read Asunder I've wanted to know more about Cole. And the twitch stream about Skyhold made me love him even more.  :D

Blackwall: We know next to nothing about Blackwall and I want to know more.

Cassandra: I've always loved Cassandra and her hot temper. I was a little wary of the idea of her being a companion though but after watching the twitch streams and such I think I'm going to really like her as a companion.

Party =  Vivienne + Varric/Cole and Cassandra/Blackwall.

Vivienne because she was the first character introduced that I fell in love with especially when she said "Rest assured, dear seeker....."  I want to take her, Varric and Cassandra to Crestwood immediately I pick her from the chantry or circle. I don't like to change mind if I like someone first.

I love Blackwall too. Seems like someone I can reason with.

I don't like characters that talks too much or try hard too much to make me laugh all the time. So sorry Sera, Ironbull and Dorian.

No idea. In the end, depending on how I feel about my current play through, it'll depend on whether I care more about combat synergy or narrative cohesion.

I don't want to stick to the obvious choices, i.e. those outlined by the devs to be interesting or fun or whatever. I will probably find myself sticking to a few of the same party members per play through though, because I'll build them to synergise with my own skills in particular circumstances. But I will try to change that up during my next play through, and so on.

In terms of who interests me the most, that would have to be Iron Bull, Blackwall, Dorian, Solas and Sera. I wasn't a massive Cole fan in Asunder -- I didn't dislike him, and I found his unique state of being interesting enough, but as a personality he left me apathetic -- but I'm absolutely prepared to be proven wrong in Inquisition and end up thinking he's the bee's knees. I've nothing against Cass and Varric, but we already know Varric and Cass doesn't seem quite as 'fun' as the others, so while I'm certain I'll continue to like them very much in the game they aren't the ones I'm most excited to have in my party. The one I can't make up my mind about is Vivienne. There are things about her that intrigue me, but at the same time I'm rarely a fan of those from nobility so I'm tentatively waiting to see how she's handled.

My first Inquisitor will be a Male Elf Rift Mage (focusing on damage) and my main party will be Iron Bull (romance), Dorian (protector) and Sera (who I will switch between daggers and archery to see which one works best).

I'll use all the companions though, but those 3 the most because they are my favourites from what we've seen. I'll also be using Varric and Vivienne a lot as well.

I'll be using all of them, but I'm definitely leaning towards the Bull+Sera+Cass combo with my mage.

Varric, Blackwall and Vivienne.

Varric was one of only two DA2 companions I found remotely interesting in.

Blackwall just looks so freaking badass.

And Vivienne seems like a lot of fun!

I plan to use all of them.  Though some interest me more than others.  It will depend on my individual Inquisitors and what feels right with that particular run.

When I first heard Varric was returning, I was both excited (because he's my favorite from DA2) but nervous too.  IMO Bioware's record on returning companions was 0 for 2 as I disliked Oghren in Awakenings and Anders 2.0.  Seeing some of the game play videos has reassured me the suave dwarven bard is back.

Dorian looks fascinating.  I'd love to learn more about Tevinter from someone who wasn't a slave there, but still doesn't agree with the society.  Plus, he's nice to look at, and I really love the mustache.

Sera looks fun, I imagine my rogue inquisitor will have a blast with her.  Blackwall is the type of character I've been wanting Bioware to do for the past couple of games.  Iron Bull...well, not a fan of Qunari, but from what I've seen of FPJ's voice over video, he proves to be a lot livelier and more fun than others of his species.  Cass, Cole, Vivienne and Solas are less interesting to me than those, but I'm still interested in getting to know each of them.

I'll answer for my first playthrough only:

Iron Bull: He'll be my love interest, and he sounds hilarious.

Cole: I loved him in Asunder.

Varric: I want him around to hear any & all mention of my Hawke, the DA2 companions, and their adventures together.

I'll probably switch out Varric with other party members where necessary for the plot.

I'm a guy who likes an all-female cast:

1.   Protagonist - I'll create a female human mage Inquisitor

2.   Sera - my lesbian love interest & rogue archer

3.   Cassandra - my tank

4.   Vivienne - my mage

I'll please them all and hope none of them leaves my company.

If I use a certain party and ignore the others for a while, will the others become weaker later on and make it even 'harder' for me to choose them? Or will it be like in FFXIII, where the any playable character wins goes to everyone, even if they're not being used, which keeps them all equal, so you don't have to worry about always using the same guys, for maximizing the proggression?

I planning at least 3 full plays.

My favorite characters which are also fitting to my characters are Cole, Solas and Blackwall

Cassandra, Iron Bull  will be present also frequently.

Second character will use those characters as frequent compannions and Vivienne sometimes, Second will vary depending on circumstances, avoiding probably only Vivienne because he is anti-circle mage, 3rd - we'll see. It will be Nightmare 3 characters maximum limit playout and i will not plan it now.

From what I've seen so far I'll be taking Varric, Vivienne and Blackwall/Cassandra with me to brave the world. I plan on trying out the others but these characters seem to have the most potenial.

My favorite companions of each class from what we've learned so far are Blackwall, Varric, and Solas. So I'll roll with them when I want a balanced party. But I plan to mix it up a lot, as I'm not usually overly concerned with party effectiveness since I typically play on lower difficulties.

Honestly, I'm not really interested in many of the companions for this game, from what we've seen so far, and that worries me. I hope I will grow to like them over the course of the game.

I use the companions like I used them in DA:O & DA2.Out of practicality.Like if I need a Tank,2 Archers,& a Elementalist take Cassandra/Iron Bull,Sera/Varric,Myself,& probably Dorian/Viv.I think it's a lot more believable when something unexpected happens like Cass disagrees with Sera on this subject & one of them you have to talk down.

At least on my first run I plan on rotating companions depending on what kind of mission we are on. My general rule is 'two melee, two ranged' with a character of each class.

I'd take Iron Bull and Varric along on quests involving raiders, thugs and bandits.

Anything involving their respective race/culture I'd take along. Solas for the Dalish, Sera for City Elves, Varric for Dwarves and Iron Bull for Qunari, especially if my Inquisitor is not of that race and could use someone a bit more knowledgable (and probably open up more options for negotiation).

Chantry business demands Cass come along. Even if its to see the grimace on her face when I go against it.

Anything with nobility and magery would be Vivienne and Dorian, moreso Vivienne given her stance and experience. Especially when dealing with Orlesians. Dorian for the Tevinters.

Wilderness and dangerous cave spelunking missions would involve Blackwall, Iron Bull, and Solas given their rough, hardened experience with the outdoors and wilds.

In subsequent runs it'll depend on my Inquisitor's personality. Pro-humans will run with Cass/Blackwall/Dorian/Vivienne, those uninterested in the antics of the Surfacers/Shem/Bas would run with Solas/Sera/Iron Bull/Varric, and so forth.
