Obviously. The art style is very distinctive and that will be apparent even if the graphical details are not as high.
Well ya know it won't be as good as a (semi)high-end PC or current-gen console but I doubt it would be so bad that it would bother you.
Obviously what they've shown us so far has been with the settings cranked up to high or ultra. I'm interested to see some comparisons of lower settings now the review copies have gone out. I expect it will still look really quite nice, with just things like lighting effects, shadows on trees and other objects, and the details of textures on skin and clothing to be reduced somewhat.
I have no idea, obviously, but I think it will look good for last-gen, meaning have parity with some of the better games on last-gen systems. It will not look as good as next-gen or high-end PC, but if you consistently play games on last-gen, I don't see how you could mind. The art style and basic aesthetics shouldn't be impacted, though many things will be - but they are things that will be consistent with the look/quality you're accustomed to.
WELL, It certainly won't look like Crysis 3.
No.
Buy a PC.... or a PS4.
I guess it will look good when compared to other last gen game. Will it look good compared to PC, PS4, etc? No, probably not.
But like others have said, if you're used to playing on last gen consoles then it will likely be good enough not top bother you.
It'll probably look fine, texture pop-ins will most likely be the main issue with last gen if I had to guess.
ME2 and ME3 were made by Bioware and they looked great on PS3/xbox 360 so I'm sure DAI will look great on last gen consoles.
Should I feel sorry for people who haven't upgraded yet? I know some people simply can't afford it, but I just can't help feeling sorry for them.
Why? because people didn't buy into the hype of buying a console with nothing good to play yet?
Well I guess I should ammend that. I feel sorry for those who can't afford it. The people who choose not to, that's their problem. To each their own. I upgraded last month because I'm looking forward to ESO whenever it hits consoles, and it's current gen only. Destiny and DAI just made it seem like a good time to do it, and I do not regret that decision. Why? because people didn't buy into the hype of buying a console with nothing good to play yet?

This sums up what I was going to say.

I can understand consoles to a point. I have a PS3, but I use it more as an entertainment system than I do a gaming system. I bought it cheap, and I have maybe 3 exclusive titles for it? Still, I'm not planning on upgrading until Sony gives me a real reason to. But don't feel bad for me! I'm building a new PC next week, and it will be GLORIOUS. (and sexy)
Edit:
Just saw your amendment. I guess i feel bad for those who would like to buy new consoles but are unable to because of money constraints. ![]()
Let's be confident of Bioware.
As long as it plays smoothly & I'll take a small hit in graphical fidelity.
The Playstation ports of recent BioWare games have been.... problematic at best. I'd like to be able to play more than an hour before having to reset the system.
Yes, BioWare have made sure that the people on last generation systems will get the same deal as those on new gen. Obviously there will be some graphical drop on last generation but that is to be expected. Suffice to say, it'll look beautiful on last generation.
Hoping it will look 'good' on last gen systems is simply silly, your best bet is to hope it runs at a respectable framerate.
If you want good visuals and a solid framerate its time to upgrade to PS4/X1 or buy a PC.. comparing new console footage to PC already shows better shadows and texture details on faces.
I'm quite amazed this is happening with all games btw.. people still expecting a good looking game on 360/Ps3, they're watered down ports at this stage. after 9 years it is really time to upgrade.
umm the artstyle in this game is very cartoony? Maybe you need to get your eyes checked because facially the characters look anything but cartoony, they are very life like, this is the only one of biowares latest games that dont have cartoony graphics, with mass effect 2 being the last one. DAI has even more realistic looking characters and textures than ME2 did. It sounds like wishful thinking on your part. The game wont look horrible but it will not be pretty either.
Its the same thing with the armors tho tbh, i dont see the supposed cartoony art style
