If support for variable aspect ratio is not in the game, I'd suggest that it would be good for it to be. Recently we had the Evil Within and I think that game was detracted by the fixed aspect ratio, and even with console editing you couldn't change the base render from 16:9 aspect ratio so those of us with slightly wider resolutions saw some pretty ugly black bars in all directions.

I know Dragon Age series has traditionally supported multiple resolutions but the Mass Effect series you had limited support for aspect ratios so who knows what DA:I will end up? But I suggest the ability to select your own aspect ratio, or do what Blizzard does and have a fullscreen windowed mode available so the game renders at your monitor's native resolution.

Just for the record I'm running a monitor with 17:9 aspect ratio. Alot of games unfortunately don't support this aspect ratio.

Yeah, selecting aspect ratio is a good feature to have. I'm coming at it from the opposite end (my monitor is 5:4 and I often have to make do with 4:3), but poor aspect ratio support can get pretty annoying on that end as well. I don't know if it's planned to be in there or not; hopefully so, or else at this point I think we'll have to hope for a patch.
