Hi, I have started a new DA:O game since the Keep was opened to us to be tested. I just wondered are there different saves during and at the end of the game? In ME and The Witcher etc there are different file saves for chapter ends and the game end state (I believe) and wondered whether that is why my new Warden is not synching to the keep. That is I haven't completed the campaign???

No, when you saved your game has no impact on whether your Wardens are synced or not. You can upload characters from the standalone character creator, so you definitely don't need to finish the campaign to sync your characters.

All saves linked to the same character upload to a single file, with the caveat that expansions and DLC tend to treat the same imported character as separate for Origins (not for DA2).

For instance, I have a character named Aelfsige there three times - once for Origins, once for Awakening, and once for Witch Hunt.  It was the same character, imported from one to the other.  But there are also 7 Origins saves under his name, and only one Origins version of the character.  I imported that character into DA2, and the Hawke that generated there only appears once even though she did Legacy and Mark of the Assassin.

The Keep used to show off levels, and that had me wondering how it decided which version of the saves it picked for the uploaded character.  For instance, if I had a character on one save at level 10, got that character to level 13 on a second save, then went back to the first one and got to level 11, would the Keep have shown the level 11 one or the level 13 one...?

That question is academic now because the Keep no longer shows off any levels, or anything at all past initial character creation (portrait/gender/race/origin/name).
