I thought that I had done way too much planning, since I normally just leap into a game and go with whatever I feel like, but then I saw people talking about super fleshed out Inqs and the like and I realised that even with my hobbies I'm really lazy.
All I've got so far is a basic personality down for my first Inq, her name, race and who's she's going to romance.

I have planned my Characters (Races/Classes), I will be sticking with the default names because I really like them. (Still waiting to find out what the male Elf default name is) and I suck when it comes to naming characters.
I have planned the Romances and the imports for each character I create. (8 will be romanced, one will be a non-romanced character so 9 altogether).
The only thing I haven't done is their appearances. I want to wait until I get the Character Creation and decide then how my characters are going to look. I prefer seeing what Bioware are offering me. I don't want to get my hopes up for their appearances.
I don't plan at all. I wait until I'm actually playing the game and then decide once I know the content.
As the title suggests, I'm simply curious as to how much planning everyone has done; ie. race, sex, class, romantic interest, Inquisitor voice, etc..
That is pretty much all the planning I have done. I will play a female elf mage who romances Solas. Mostly to kill two birds with one stone. I've wanted to play a Dalish mage since Origins. Since Solas is only open to female elves, and I find Solas interesting I'm going to romance him. I've picked a name: Arian and I have a general idea of what I want her to look like. Other than that she's a blank slate. I usually let the character be formed around the game not try to form the game around my character.
I've done no planning. I'll probably start with a male human mage, but only because that's my usual default. Things like a name and a voice will depend on whatever mood strikes me when I'm playing with the character creator. And I'm certainly not picking LIs until some mid-point in the game - we haven't met these characters yet, so who knows which ones will be fun and which ones will be too annoying to live?
