I hav multiple (save) versions of my DAO hero, I cannot see which  version I am selecting. A bit more information, like lvl and last save date would be good to have. Or am I missing something?

It doesn't matter which version you're selecting since all your choices need to be entered manually.

It does matter, as I do get different world results from the import. I've tried, and in one instance I get a dead warden, whereas in the other I get a living warden. And that is just one of the (many) differences.

The Keep really doesn't sync your choices. All it syncs is your characters name, race, gender, class and portrait. If your characters' choices appear correctly in the Tapestry it's either because you 1) changed them yourself or 2) made the default choices.

Evamitchelle is right, regardless if your Wardens are dead or not the decisions do not carry into the Keep, just the character you created. You have to manually input the decisions again through the tapestry. If your Warden sacrifices himself/herself to kill the Archdemon, your file with the dead Warden will show up alive and you have to input the choice again

I support the idea of the level even if it does nothing, at least all effort made in-game won´t be a complete waste (in other words only for bragging about him/her).

I noticed they took the levels out just before the Open Beta, so they probably did it to avoid confusion. I'd love it if they could add them back after launch, once the Keep's purpose and functions are a bit more clear to everybody, but I'm not holding my breath.

I´m guessin it´s so people don´t get dissapointed with the default heroes, i noticed they were level 0 and that could sit wrong with many people (specially those with synching problems), so i´m not holding my breath either... but i DID send a feedback requesting the levels to be back though :D

That sucks! I just understand we have to do the job by our own.

Not just the default Heroes. If you had saves in DA:O and one or more DLC packs, you could get the same Warden appearing several times but with each one at a different level.

People were getting fixated on picking the most recent (i.e. highest level) version with the best equipment etc. By removing the levels, perhaps Bioware is trying to emphasize that the levels really don't make any difference as far as the Tapestry and DA:I is concerned.

Some same versions had diferent choices attached, so save date and level would be nice to have visible when selecting a character,

I'm not sure I understand you correctly but, if I do, that's exactly the point. It doesn't matter what choices were attached, because the Keep doesn't recognise those past choices, anyway.

It will only recognise the choices you make (and attach) now in the Tapestry.

It doesn't matter as stated above . but if your a little like me and just determined to pick your highest level Warden /Hawk. Start and Load your game Warden / Hawk you want , change his /her armor to something unique and resave. Wait a few hours+, Start Keep and re-sync, until your new Warden/Hawk save shows up.

I actually have my 4 copies of my main hero (origins, awakening, golems and witch hunt) and since the keep is their new home i would like to see that progress represented somehow, even if it´s just in levels (24, 30, 34 and 35 accordingly), I don´t care that i´m using 16 spaces out my 50 just on one hero, that´s my choice, but by not having ANYTHING that distinguish them from one another it´s like i never played in the first place and the choice is taken away from me while still using 16 spaces since i have my warden 4 times in the keep (I´m not gonna erase them just because i don´t know which one is which).

I don´t like when people aren´t proactive with their online-rage(so to speak since i´m not mad), my solution would be that they add the levels and to the default heroes give them an 18th level, not so high as to be equal to someone who completed the game but high enough to make new players realize how much gameplay is involved in one playthrough.

Some people will probably use the levels, beyond the general complaining about default heroes being "level 0", and say "But Hawke is only level X in Inquisition but he was level Y in DA2.  Why did you not import that correctly Keep?"(Edit:  There still will be those complaints, but there would be more if you could see Hawke's level in the Keep)

I do like your recommendation though, of setting a level(around level 20) for the default heroes, and allowing the level of the Heroes to be seen, to help differentiate between heroes with the same name.

Because it was showing before it went open beta.

As i understand the keep, it re-routes all info that your game sends to the BSN to the keep (that´s why they´re having so many issues with synching origins), including levels, armor, plot flags, etc. since the games are so... buggy ( ) they are grabing only reliable info to put in the keep wich means: picture, name, origin, race. So the level should be there, they´re just not showing it up or discarding it.

I think (and this is purely speculation on my part) that´s why justin says it´s difficult to change your warden name in the keep, because it´s already tied up to the data stream from the game.

They were? Dont remember that.

Jeremy said that while it was easy on the frontend to add name changing, on the backend they dont have any way to store that.

Yep it was, that´s how i know the default heroes were level 0 and that´s how i choose my hero level 35 :P  you had to go back and forth from the tapestry to the Heroes tab though, it was the only place that showed it and you can´t change your hero in that page.

I do like your recommendation though, of setting a level(around level 20) for the default heroes, and allowing the level of the Heroes to be seen, to help differentiate between heroes with the same name.

I also thought a level 20 at first, but since there is an achievement for level 20 that´s why i said 18 instead (that could also be an issue).
