So when you leave logaine alive, it will not let you choose to let alistair be king alone. I know it is possible to let logaine live (and become a grey warden) and also have alistair rule alone as king. It will not let you do this in the keep choices. Can this please be fixed so my import is correct?

Just tested this, I get no conflict. What browser are you using?

loghain can only live if alistair AND anora are ruling. if alistair
rules alone, loghain dies.

Alistair will never rule alone while Loghain lives. Either you had a mod or you mis-remember the end of the game.
The only way to have Alistair on the throne and Loghain still living is to harden him and convince him to marry Anora. Otherwise, Alistair leaves the party completely.

True enough, I didn't see the alone part. Anora is a must to keep Loghain alive.

Only way for Loghain to live without Alistair leaving to become a drunk is if he's hardened and becomes a king with Anora (and he still leaves the party).

Maybe I misremembered the ending it's been so long ago. I could have sworn having logaine become a warden fulfilled alistairs wishes and he could be king alone. Was there any drawback to alistair and anora vs alistair alone?

@ Derilust: Alistair alone is not a great choice for Ferelden; at least in the narrative following the end in 2 of my end-games. He basically goes around Ferelden saying hi to the people and is well-loved BUT does NOT take care of realm business so is not such a great ruler. Neither of those two games was he hardened.

IAlistair is a good king with Anora or alone, though if you harden him, he takes the job with a bit more seriousness.

Thanks guys. I seem to remember hardening him now that people have been talking about it, so I may have had him rule with anora, because I know I had logaine as a grey warden and alistair as king. That is the only way that both those things happened.

Yevhen & Nathaniel
If you're wondering why the Keep asks you to kill Nathaniel when you want to help Yevhen and his sons, it's because these two quests were mutually exclusive in DA2. Yevhen's quest will only trigger if Nathaniel died in Awakening. There was a bug in Awakening that meant that not taking Nathaniel with you for the final battle after leaving him behind in a fully upgraded Keep flagged him as dead, and so some people might have encountered Yevhen in DA2. This was a bug however, and has been fixed in the Keep.
From here.

Evamitchelle is 100% accurate.
That having been said, you are well within your rights to complain about how Yevhen and Nathaniel's quests are 100% mutually exclusive in the Keep, when there's no legitimate reason for them to be... The only reason for their mutual exclusivity in DA2 was so that players who didn't import from Awakening could still have a quest in the Deep Roads, but no story reason was ever given. It's especially jarring when you can't use "they go at the same time" due to Nathaniel's quest being in Act 3, while Yevhen's quest is in Act 2...

I am extremely excited about the tapestry and keep and everything, I just hope that it imports things properly, being a completely new interface and all. I don't know why they just didn't implement normal save game export.....

The short answer is, they can't.
Apparently saves in previous games are buggy, some game decisions which shouldn't have been possible have happened due to glitches, and not all decisions which will affect DA:I are necessarily captured in the saves from DA:O and DA2. Add to that the fact that many people will be playing DA:I on different gen machines and/or different platforms (rumoured to be lots of people migrating from XB to PS - like me, for example!) and the net result is that a traditional import of old saves just won't work.
I'm sure they'd have preferred to go that route if it had been possible!

Things like how flags are done in the base game with modifiers which then change in the DLC's so then DA:2 assumes you were forever alone
Only people on pc could take advantage of it anyway. So that would be quite the rude gesture to console players

Well obviously no rudeness was meant. And It would work for console players the same as it would for pc. The only way it would pose a problem as noted above, is for someone going cross system beween titles. As long as the new system works and imports the decisions properly without any problems or glitches, I will be very happy with it.
