Oh...

Just a couple more things:

Npc janitors (mopping and sweeping in place)

Scrub"persons" (cleaning floors)

Attendants (Bellhop, DoorGuards on duty)

Laundry workers

In any "modern" environment(s) they all are still required by Nwn.

Never mind urban, they'll fit straight into spelljammer as well. My only thought is are there seperate models of the gnome and mech, for when it's not occupied? Other than that I just love both the model and the concept.

TR well, I don't deserve any credit for the model and the concept. Because I just have adapted a free model to NWN.

I don't think that the pilot was a gnome originally, I just have made bigger his nose, to make him looks like one. This kind of devices fits better with gnomes in D&D.

The model of the pilot is attached to the main mesh, however it's just the upper body. But if you are interested in the full character model, it's also available at sharecg.com:

Half-Golems, Clockwork Cyborgs, Maugs, and Warforged could also be considered urban races, as they require factories, repair, and maintenance, very much requiring a large infrastructure to support...

as someone who's starting area happens to be attached to the LARGEST CITY IN THE MODULE I am pleased to see a whole host of inspiring ideas but slightly unmoved they are all targeting high level players. what about for prosperity sake we add a few small fry in there.

for instance urban creatures why not a creature that feeds off the fleshy remains in the arena a nasty little bugger that has been known to cause infection with its bite. something deformed that a lower level player is able to smash easily enough at level

I don't see why we can't have a few of our own creative incites mixed in to the content the original PNP game was made with that in mind.

I do have to agree on the magic influence of the Rakshasa thou we could use more of them. I Do want to see more customization features (as in feet and lower body) added into the mix they could use some armor added to the category as well there is one set of Tiefling feet that are just wonderful why don't we make more additions for them?

when you get into urban areas you have allot of creatures of a whole host of alignments fit into one place it just seems right to have some thing players can use other than Farting runes to identify as magical.

Lower level stuff? Graffiti Is one idea then (Elrond wuz 'ere, Wizards do it with staves, Rangers go home! Khelban' staff is black! etc.) Weeds, moss and slime growing on/up walls is another. It all adds to the atmosphere.

Don't you ever thought, that the NWN aurora commoners, well, they just don't look like commoners? They wear elaborate clothes of pristine white, and even wear jewellery. Well I have made something with that....

Commoner_female_override.jpg

Commoner_male_override.jpg

This models override, "Human, female 01" and "Human, male 01" which appear as commoners in the creatures menu of Aurora toolset. They have been made from free models at http://tf3dm.com/; from the "Age of Pirates" games:

http://tf3dm.com/3d-...irl-1-7444.html

http://tf3dm.com/3d-...vant-18980.html

They are more renaissance, than the classical medieval style in NWN; However I think they still work better than the originals. Useful for urban as well as rural environments....

Look Awesome!

Always felt the NWN commoners were too "Noble"...

(Nobles would be great urban fodder too, actually)

How about a few merchant types as well?

(Such as Shopkeepers, Innkeepers, Maids, Bartender, Waitress, Blacksmiths, Apprentices...)

this is looking up to be a great month so far, i honestly dont know what i was expecting. im already looking to compile a written list of steampunk/ urban related content for my server.

So far Ive got shemsu herus Gnomish Battle Machine, the para-elemental crossbow bolts from technomancy, the autognomes by shemsu heru from arcane space, and the steampunk clocks from Borden Ha'elven written down.

Hrm.

Urban to me does not mean Steampunk or techno-thing.

New garbage piles, a variety of hanging clothing between an alley, new sewage grates both ground and wall, city sounds, perhaps new placeable windows with a variety of ambient glow when not static, a new city texture pack for reskinning for some more examples.

FP!

If I have some time left at the end of the month, I can make two or three waitresses.

Noblewoman_override.jpg

This models override "male 4" and "Female 4". which appear as nobleman and noblewoman, in the creatures menu of Aurora toolset. They have been made from free models at http://tf3dm.com/;from the "Age of Pirates" games:

http://tf3dm.com/3d-...lood-41969.html

http://tf3dm.com/3d-...lisa-67067.html

Again they are more renaissance than medieval, however again I think that they works better than the originals

Nobleman_Fencing.jpg

Also I have included an alternative version for the nobleman, with fencing animations; From "Alternate Combat Animations" by Ragnarok Mr4.

@Shemsu-Heru, these are great! As I've no experience with CC, I'm curious, would it be possible to have tattoo1 and tattoo2 be the colours of the clothing on the static NPC, so there could be variety in its colour? I've seen heads do this with eyes and lips and fingernails. Is that doable for static clothing?

FP!

FP - You only can change colors with PLT textures, which are used by dynamic anatomical parts and armor/clothing parts in NWN1, Creatures like this, don't use PLT textures, so that is not possible.

Would it be possible to release these as clothing options as well? They look so great, but having them only on those NPCs would be a pity!

@Shemsu-Heru

Bravo !

Really nice overrides there...

Since you are digging about with Age of Pirates,

could there possibly be some brethren for the lowly Bloodsailor and the vile convict in those files?

@Snugglehoof:
Well, I don't think that they could work well as modular pieces. But they could be great robes, unfortunately I don't Know too much about working with robes. However I would be pleased If anybody would made robes with this models.

@Killmonger:
A Bloodsailor override could be a posibility....

Just a Question; Because of Kurth is a famous pirate captain in Luskan. Is the "Kurth's Soldier" which appears in the aurora tolset, some kind of pirate too...
