I think I will be picking the Vanguard first because they have some decent biotic abilities especially biotic charge.
For my second play through, I think I will go with a soldier just to see how the assault rifles are.
What are your thoughts?
Which class are you choosing in ME2 and Why?

I think i've decided on sentinel, just because I'm not really sure what role I'm going to end up playing, and sentinel gives me that versatility.

Vanguard. It is the better of the 2 saves I could transfer over at the moment, and who doesn't like tackling people?
Infiltrator would be next, but I have to finish that play through on ME1. Then transfer over my solider, which will be fun, because I do not remember the choices I made with him so it'd be amusing to see how things shake out. Then probably another pure class like adept.

I've decided on Vanguard in my first playthrough, and sentinel for the second.
Vanguard, mostly for Charge, Shockwave, and Pull. Sounds really useful.
Sentinel seems like an incredibly useful class, especially with Tech Armor.

The sentinel is definitely appealing because they have the strongest shields. I'm not too sure if they're versatile enough when it comes to weapons though.

Infiltrator or Adept. I want to use biotics for once but I love sniping too much.

Either Vanguard or Sentinel.

Vanguard. Pretty much the paladin class, and I always play those first. So, good-two-shoes Ms Shepard will be the first. ^^
After that... Soldier badass Ms Shep, and then Sentinel-kinda-neutral ManShep. ^^

Is that a serious question? Everyone(especially BioWare) KNOWS that the Vanguard is the most awesome class.

Soldier for my first transfer since he was a soldier in the first and it goes with the type of character I've made him. Adept for my second transfer. He was originally a vanguard (deadliest overall class when combined w/ squad in ME1), but I don't like the direction that the vanguard is going this time around... I'll see how it goes though when factoring in bonus talents.

Soldier first time through. A simple set-up should allow me to become acclimated to the ME2 combat feel before I try a more refined class.
If things go wrong on a soldier, you can just spew rounds and still come out intact. If things go wrong on an Infiltrator, or an Adept, you could be loading a save game...

Soldier first. I always play RPG's as a straight up fighter for the first go round if it's possible. Just gives me a good feel for the game without being too complicated. Also I hate Space Mages.

I am really torn about all the choices.
I really want to play Adept, infiltrator, Sentinel etc.
I feel the first play-through is so hard to choose which class to play, it will be the first time experiencing the game and therefore will always be the best one .
So what to do?
Now knowing we can learn to use an additional weapon and bonus talent, it mixes things up a bit.
I could play sentinel and have assault rifle + some other biotic/tech power, which really add to that class.
Imagine a pull with sentinel as well (if available), then you can do the "adept" Push/pull thing that looks like so much fun but still have the tech shields and tech powers.
This game begs to be played over and over again with so many sweet classes.

Adept, biotics were the funnest classes to play in ME1 so I'll start with the best biotic

Soldier. I'd rather keep myself bussy with chosing the right ammo and weapons along with getting those headshots in, than making my enemies float with blue magic.

Vanguard all the way. The infiltrator looks like a lot of fun, but is anything better than hitting a geth trooper with cryo ammo, freezing them solid, and then charging them so that they fly across the screen and shatter into a thousand pieces? I am getting goose bumps just thinking about it...
