I was looking to re-install the DM-Friendly Initiative (DMFI) Wand Package, HotU Version 1.07 (by Demetrious and Hahnsoo), but can't find the link.  Is there a newer version available?

(1)  I also found "DMFI Wands and Widgets v1.08 alpha (FINAL)", created by Demetrious and Hahnsoo, located here:

Is this the most-recent "official" version, created by Demetrious and Hahnsoo?  I only consider it to be "official" if Demetrious and Hahnsoo created it, unless they "officially" passed ownership/leadership of "DMFI Wands & Widgets" to someone else... In which case, is it you or Tsunami282?

 

(2)  The DMFI link you sent me is for "DMFI Wands & Widgets 1.09", but the author is Tsunami282.  Version 1.07 and 1.08 were created by Demetrious and Hahnsoo.  I consider 1.07 (and 1.08?) to be the last "official" version, because Demetrious and Hahnsoo are the authors.  My concern is that Tsunami282 may have started with 1.07 (or 1.08?) and modified in ways that Demetrious and Hahnsoo would not agree with, leading to multiple "unofficial" versions, but only one "official" version.  Any idea which "official" version (1.07 or 1.08) Tsunami282 started with?

 

(3)  Similarly, the "HR DM Tool" you mentioned appears to be an "unofficial" modification/improvement on 1.07 (or 1.08?).  I noticed that you're the author of the HR DM Tool.  Which version of DMFI did you start with, when you created HR DM Tool?  Did you start with 1.07 or 1.08?

 

(4)  Sorry for all the confusion and questions on my part.  Just trying to figure out which one is the latest "official" version.

 

(5)  Any idea if Demetrious, Hahnsoo, or Tsunami282 are still active in tforum?  It would be cool for them to reply to this thread, so we can get everyone on the same sheet of music.

Hello Scrotok,

Version 1.09 of the DMFI package for NWN is the last official release of the Wands and Widgets. Tsunami282 put in a good amount of work on it, using the latest previous version (1.08a) and updating it to use the 1.69 patch changes.

After I handed over the reins, the DMFI became inactive in short order, so there's no longer an "official" voice for it, but I hope this helps answer your question.

I used 1.09 it been around a good time, both are good packages for a DM.

I created a patch for DMFI 1.09 which solved a couple problems with it.

Just to confirm, are you saying that you currently use both 1.09 and HR DM Tool?  If so, why do you use both?  What are the major differences between them?

 

Is HR DM Tool a modification of 1.09, or some earlier version?

No I use my own system HR DM tools, because it has some improvements (read the description) and I do not like cluttering my quickbar with wands. Some like the wands though, so I was just saying test both out and decide for yourself. Yes DM tools is a big modification of dmfi 1.09
