The dragons keep has nothing about any awakening characters except nathaniel and oghren (and technically anders in the DA2 section). Does this mean my sigrun won't be back in any way. Or any other of them. The poor crazy elf
No sigrun!?

Indeed... Sadly our female characters from Awakening never got any love after it was over.

Doesn't look like it, unfortunately. It'd be nice if they added more Awakening tiles that mentioned companions other than Oghren though.

I actually liked Velanna as she seemed to change with time but anyway I did not expect to see her in DAI. Then again because they don't talk about them in the keep does not necessarily mean that they're dead.

Velanna for life.
Angry women need love too.

Here's the state of our companions
Sigrun: Either kept distracted by tasks given by the Warden for years (who is now gone) or essentially committed suicide.
Velanna: Disappeared and never seen again
Nathaniel: A living/dead warden you can meet in DA2
Oghren: May or may not have family issues (may influence if Cory takes control of him or not)
Anders: A living incarnate of pure unadulterated vengeance
Justice: The other half of that vengeance incarnate.
In short Sigrun has probably committed suicide by now since our Warden was essentially the one keeping her alive; which is really a shame.

My warden wasn't the only thing keeping her alive, it was just my wardens friendship that helped her realize that her life had meaning. Even with the Warden missing, she's found purpose.

My Sigrun died defending the Keep (at least that's how I read that epilogue text), but it would have been nice to see her in the Keep. I was hoping to see Velanna in Inquisition, but since she's not in the Keep either, I guess not.

I don't recall any mention of Sigrun committing suicide. The possibility of returning to the Deep Roads is not considered suicide. She would just be fulfilling her vow to the Legion of the Dead.

What's this about Cory controlling Oghren?

Who's Cory? Corypheus from Dragon Age 2? We don't know if he could ever encounter past characters. Can he still influence other Warden's without his tainted magister body?

I also found it curious that there weren't any options regarding Sigrun and Velanna. Anders and Justice, I get; the only options with those two make DA2's plot impossible, so they picked a hard canon. But I thought we'd see something in regards to the ladies.
Really, the Awakening options in general seemed rather sparse. Nothing on whether or not you made Vigilance or what form it took, for instance.
Have they confirmed that the events that the tapestry covers in the beta are the final version? Is there a chance we might see a few more questions pop up at launch?

I'm pretty sure they've confirmed the opposite, that there will be more stuff added to the keep, though at this point it's clear that it'll have no effect on DA:I so I'm indifferent between them doing them now or early enough in the DLC life cycle to effect the DLC if relevant.

I wonder how they are going to handle DLC though when it comes to the Keep? Seems to me like since our World state will already be embedded into the save we are using, we couldn't change it to add new tiles unless we started a new game? I mean it's not like we can change world states mid game, right? Maybe I'm wrong there, but I haven't seen a clear answer on that yet...which makes me think that the choices either stand for the DLC as well as the base game, or DLC specific new Keep choices will have some issues to figure out.
Hmm, that is odd, it depends how they did it if it's Warden's Keep style it'll probably use the same state. A fairly simply solution is to have space for data and leave it blank and have the game check the save state every patch or launch or etc. Then when the DLC is about to launch you go and add that data to the Keep and then it checks it on start up or whenever it does (I'm pretty sure the Keep data isn't downloaded). That way you can have the game lock in the data from the state in the first place (to stop mid save tweaking to cheese it) and still allow DLC to get the data it wants without being a separate campaign.

Hrm, but the Keep doesn't prohibit you from deleting your world states once you've synced them to your Inquisition save. So if you have deleted it, then there is no save state to check/compare with at patches/launch/dlc.
...I guess this is up for them to figure out, but I would be interested in knowing how it works. Not just because I want to know as a fan, but it's an interesting tech issue.

Well, I was only expecting a "Valenna Recruited" tile, because she always ends up in a very ambiguous situation regardless of what you do. I wasn't a fan of her, but I'd be extremely surprised if they never addressed that and brought her story to a conclusion.
But, to be honest, Sigrun died in my canon playthrough while protecting the Keep and the ending slide I got felt like a rather satisfying conclusion. ""This time, she did not run."
