I think you just refuse to help her at the end, or continually disagree with her.

I'm going to asume cause I haven't played MOTA for very long time, that this happens if you tell her that the Qun sucks or don't help her with the list.

call her out on not knowing anything about the qun despite being a qunari?
or not helping her when she tells you why she's really there.
or both.

Choose aggressive dialogue and threaten to kill her to get the list of Qunari sleeper agents. That would be my guess.
I've chosen to make her angry in every one of my world states. I hope some sort of confrontation happens with her and Hawke.

I've tried disagreeing with her, threatening her and not helping her and she still doesn't get particularly "angry."

Well later, after you left, she wrote you at the top of her "list," painted a picture of your face on the wall and threw her daggers on it. Then she shaved her head and has been stalking your Hawke for like years now. Look out.

You forgot the part where she keeps a doll resembling your Hawke in her closet. She stabs it, from time to time.

Hmm...I do see a rationale to make her angry or to not make her angry, even if you are a mage Hawke.
You do not need to make her angry provided you become recognized Basalit-an and you defeated the Arishok in single combat. The Qunari will then know to view Hawke, regardless of class or sex, as someone special and worthy. Its like how Sten in DA:O, if the Warden made the right choices, will recognize the Warden, regardless of class or sex, as an equivalent of an Ashkaari, which I think trumps even Basalit-an, if I am not mistaken.
You can make her angry if you really do not like the Qunari and you do not like how she views and treats mages.

The only thing I know about making Tallis angry is that apparently you can't both do that and kiss her. (Which doesn't really surprise me, I suppose.) At any rate, if you managed to get a kiss from her, then presumably you didn't make her angry. (Either that or Hawke's a damn good kisser.)

I agreed with her and flirted with her at every turn, went with her when she gave us the choice. But at the end I demanded the heart. According to Lady Insanity's da keep stream, that means I angered her. Is that true?
I'm not sure. To judge by the Keep the surest sign that you did not anger her is that you kissed her, but having not played this game myself I'm not sure if there's any particular sign that you did.

If you played Sarcastic!Hawke, when you're both thrown in the cell, you say you're going to take up knitting. Tallis asks you to make something for her, and Hawke narrows her eyes and says "no" very petulantly. I bet that really cheesed Tallis off. She wants that sweater. She's mad, she'd cold, and she's never gonna forgive you.

Both the knitting a sweater and the no are references. The no is a joke about the Qunari, and I can't remember what the sweater one is from.If you played Sarcastic!Hawke, when you're both thrown in the cell, you say you're going to take up knitting. it wasn't hard for me to ****** her off. we disagreed almost about everything, and when she left my party at the end I wish I could've thrown the plot knife in her back.
alas, maybe I get a second chance in DA:I

I think you anger her if you refuse to help her and just walk off with her calling after you. Conversely this appeared to please my companions no end, well Anders and Fenris anyway. Then after the final battle you also say you want the list or some such (if I recall correctly). I really didn't feel we parted on the best of terms and my only regret was that I wasn't allowed to take the damn list from her.
To please her, you help her, agree she can keep her list/ask her to join you, etc. I never really understood why I was helping her in the first place, let alone kept on doing so after she lied to me, particularly as I had no wish to aid the Qun, so I only did this once for interest sake. I preferred the refuse to help option because I then got a pleasant stroll in the woods and got to chat with my real friends.
Flirting and kissing her is extra to this, although I doubt she'd kiss you if you refused to help but since I wasn't interested in pursuing this line, I don't really know.

Ah, yes, those two questions. I've got a couple Hawkes who went along with her and followed her, chose the sneaky route she suggested and let her work out her guilt, and talked to her even if they didn't have to, and some that wouldn't follow her or put up with her soul-searching or anything having to do with her. Some of my Hawkes would have ticked her off to no end, but she wouldn't have minded others.

I hope that means that she'll return. That I can right the wrong that occurred at the end of the expansion i.e. cut her ears off and feed them to mabari, Connor style.

Yep, I yearned to put her in Crushing Prison and walk away with the list. My freedom loving blood mage would have never helped any qun lovers.

I thought you might appreciate this.
Edit: Or did you see that the last time I posted it? I have to ask because I can't find that thread.
