I vaguely remember it being said that her appearance in the Redcliffe demo was a placeholder because the actual one would be 'too spoiler-ey,' so it seems like something's going to happen to her. Some bruises wouldn't really be spoilerific, I reckon.

I don't recall her being changed in appearance at all.
They said that her pristine filler after her torture was not the final image that would be in the game.

Interesting. I didn't realize they elaborated on the Leliana torture, as I thought that was already quite a spoiler to show what they did.
Ah well, I won't be sending her on that mission anyway. Not on my 1st playthrough. ![]()

RE: Leliana's appearance. That isn't final on that segment, for reasons which include spoilery things.
Red lyrium scars, disguise outfit, missing an eye, it could be a lot of things but considering that she then follows the party and engages in combat logically it shouldn't be a massive injury

I would not Send her on the mission unless there is a achievement tied with the mission but it would be a one time thing

Red lyrium scars
I've considered this before...made the thought of ever sending her even more 'Nope!' than it was already.

I think I would have preferred not reading this thread at all. Not upset about it or anything, though. I'll probably have a hard time sending her on it now, too, though. It's weird that they would tell us it was a placeholder because it's too spoilery, when that's a huge spoiler in itself.

I can't handle the thought of Leliana being tortured (again), so I won't be sending her. I just hope it's not too gruesome/traumatic. ![]()

I wonder if josephine or cullen can even accept this mission? I noticed in one of the streams that some advisors can't even be sent on certain missions. so I wonder if that will be the case here.

Its gonna be tough sending her but the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one

So it is actually possible to attempt to kill Leliana, WHILE romancing her in DA:O. Betray her - as her lover - and defile the ashes of her most sacred prophet, Kill her mentor, possibly harden her before the urn quest (not 100% sure), and in DA:I she can be heavily tortured - this coupled with the death of who she values the most (divine justinia).
And some people wonder how her personality can change that much. Kudos to Bioware for letting player choices heavily dictate the character progression of other characters
Poor Leliana... she really is the result of some messed up life should we choose it so ![]()

I hope they do.....After knowing the outcome no way am i sending in Leliana or Josie in there...it dosent even make sense..heavy mage resistance from Venetori send in Cullen and the Inquisition Forces along comprising of Templers and whatnot...Even if cullen gets captured his hatred for mage will be more and he may get scars.
A, He always hated mages so no harm there B. Scars will make him look cool like a gruffy world weary commander of Inquisition

I believe that stream said you could, with different outcomes based on advisor

Or I can send someone else, since they've indicated that the Inquisitor has a choice.
