The only thing that would sort of tempt me to have Leliana get captured is that in that gameplay preview one of the Inquisitor's dialogue options was telling Leliana, "Give him a merciful death."
That line is pure badass. Hopefully there are other moments like that scattered throughout the game.

You do realize spies don't generally get up and leave when they don't like how the person they're spying on does things, right? Like Leliana does? Or bother talking about how 'Dear to her heart' the person she apparently seduced and left 7 years ago is, to a complete stranger?

He's talking about her life as a bard. In DA:O one of the dialogue options with Leliana is asking about rumors that bards will sometimes use sex as a tool of their trade. Leliana admits that bards will sleep with marks to gain intel or to set them up for assassination, and that she's done it. She also says something like, "..and they never complained. Well maybe after, but never during." 
But that really has no bearing on Leliana who is in a relationship with a Warden. Plus from DA:O onwards she is no longer a bard. In DA:I she's the chief agent of the Divine and later the head agent of the Inquisition. There's no indication that sex plays a role in either.

Man just imagine the shrieking from those women-should-be-attractive peeps if one of the few traditionally attractive women in DAI gets horribly scarred. Maybe loses an eye. It would be glorious.
If I have to send one of the advisors and they get tortured regardless, I'm likely not sending Cullen or Josie. Sorry Leliana.
Then again, Leliana is probably getting tortured for being a spy and trying to assassinate Alexius. The other two wouldn't try that.

I plan on sending Josephine if possible. Alexius clearly didn't like the Elder One and only went along with him because he thought his victory was inevitable, so I wouldn't be surprised if Josephine might, somehow, be able to work things out.
If all three advisers are an option I'm sending Cullen and the army. I think taking the fortress by force might the right call for that one.

I'd think Alexius just had her tortured with magic, except that one of the devs said that her armored up appearance in the gameplay vid was just a placeholder for something spoilery.
That implies that something was done to her that left a visible mark. It also couldn't just be cuts or bruises, because you'd expect that with torture, and that wouldn't be spoilery. Likewise I'm guessing that she isn't nude, or at least that isn't what the dev was referring to, because that wouldn't be spoilery either.
That's why I'm sort of wondering whether she got Fenris'd up with lyrium. I can't think of any other physical chances to her character model that would be considered spoilerish.
As someone who romanced Leliana in DAO, I'll still send her in. Tragedy builds character!
