After I finally leave the character creator... yeah probably going to find the characters I like the most and working on synergy in my main [planned] party. I will probably also abuse the share button with lots and lots of screenshots. Will be taking the scenic route on this one.
What'll be your first priority when you start the game?

I'll go on exploring and doing as many quests as possible and then I'll craft and try to organise crafting to have my character as effective as possible in combat.

I'll be torn between rushing through the story and exploring all the things. I'll be playing the game a million times, so I don't need a completionist run out of the gates. However, I've ruined the first playthrough of literally every single BW game I have ever played by missing random stuff, or doing things out of order, and I want to make this one completely awesome.
Plus, crafting components will be a mega-priority.
(I would also be one of the people raring to get their preferred companion(s) ASAP, but my preferred party for my first runthrough will be Cass/Varric/Solas, so...)

I'm hoping the advisers or Cass give some recommendation on what the newly formed Inquisition should be doing. If any of them voice their opinion, I'll heed their advice first and probably do some of those fetch quests out in the world. Just to get a feel for the game.
I might rush to my LI (Dorian) and other preferred companions. But even if I get a mission that screams DORIAN IS HERE!!!! I'll do a few other things first so it doesn't seem like my Inquisitor has some preordained knowledge about who he's going to like/love.

First thing that I will def do is to gear up with the best Armor and Weapons that I can find/loot as fast as I possible can.
Why?.........
So that I can be awesome like this.....

And this

And will be able to do this

The character creator and then well I'm going to take one thing at a time ...
At one point I'm probably going to go crazy between crafting , exploration etc and the call of the main plot.
I don't know if the state of the Inquisition will affect the end , so my main goal is to make the Inquisition as strong as possible , and keep my companions happy too.
I don't care much about having the best looking armor or weapon at first , but it seems crafting build influence and with influence you can get some Inquisition perks.So...

Just going with the flow man, going with the flow.
But I do tend to do everything there is to do in these games. I'm also quite obsessive about getting every single herb or piece of ore I see ![]()

Go straight to graphics options and make sure everything's running at ultra. Otherwise, I'm going to cry...

Me and the character creator are going to become acquainted. Probably a lot, because... I'm a perfectionist, and will recreate faces over and over again until I like them. Mass Effect 2 is the bane of my existence with that 20 minute intro
But at least there are facecodes in mass effect... then I have to recreate said face in me3 because Shepard managed to get plastic surgery before the reapers attacked.
Other then that, I'm a 'explore every nook and cranny' type of person
With a 'oh, that tree is pretty!' type of mentality.

1) First I will create Mr Fluffy BadAss No1
2) Explore with Mr Fluffy
3) Gather a army of Nugs
4) Kill all the nugs in a rampage while killing darkspawn
5) Finally get real
6) Explore, Collect, Sidequests and Craft
7) Story will be focused gradually
8) Finally beat the game and create Omega Weapon................... FF reference

This, after the week I spend in the character creator.

First I will play in the character creator for a couple hours, then probably play through the prologue/opening scenes. At that point, I usually want to see what the other classes play like, so will recreate another character and play through the prologue again, and then again with the other character class.
At this point, I will probably have the UI and combat mechanics down, so will head back to the character creator to make my first real character that I will go through the story the first time based on which class I enjoyed the most.

Try: The one thing I'll be looking up before playing is where to find Dorian as I want to snap him up as quickly as I can. So other than/while I'm doing that I'll also be keeping an ear to the ground for where I might think I can pick up Cole and all the exploring (Occularam, Astrariums, Veil Tears, Camp sites) as opposed to firing through the story missions.
Reality: All the reloading. So much reloading, I just know it (character creation, dialogue choices, adapting lack of healing spells to my Nightmare + No Potions playstyle).
Edit: Actually, all of the above will be after playing through the prologue with Male + Female, Human+Elf+Qunari, Mage+Rogue+Warrior and Nightmare+Hard+Normal to get a feel for the varying experiences they offer.

If the EA Access is timed rather than content locked I'll head out with a default toon for my first playthrough so I can see as much of the game as possible before the time runs out.
If it's content locked I'll probably play the content with as many custom toons as I can. Spending hours on each toon to get him/her just right.

Spend a lot of time in the CC, then enjoy the game while on purpose trying to find the companions I'll be using the most

I guess first priority is getting through CC with character I'm happy with..
after that I will hunt down companions. Especially the ones I like. Dorian is most likely first priority of companions.

First priority is to compare notes with my Dad (Who plays as much or maybe more Dragon Age than I do), while doing my first playthrough as a shameless, self-insert to do the game as *I* would if I were suddenly in Inquisition.
First playthrough is usually my shortest, experience the main story, learn which class/races I like more, which secondary specialisations I do (Typically try to learn all the Specialisations in the first go). Then I *Really* dig into the game.
