Well, suppose I'll make a character first...

Then gather my party, followed by venturing forth.

Aside from that, I'm very much a "no stone unturned, no elfroot unpicked" kinda guy. So gonna go exploring, looting all the things and hopefully looking awesome in the process, or at least immediately after getting access to crafting.

Starts with a Skill ends with a Tree.

Want the skinny on fat expectations.. I mean specializations.

I'm terribly obsessed with character creation so I will probably create all my Inquisitors first, then my Hawkes and Wardens just for fun.

And after that I will just start with whatever my gut tells me, nothing planned here. I think I might run around admiring the scenery, at least that's what happened in most games.

First I'll probably mess around in customization for a while, I'll go through each race and gender. Then when I get into the game I just want to get all the companions I'm really interested in (I really want to get Bull, Sera, Dorian and Vivienne asap) and then try and get some good looking armor/robes for my Inquisitor.

Step 1: Create character.

Step 2: Adventure!

Step 3: Realise that character is a hideous freak of nature.

Repeat until character is just a bit ugly.

Make my elf look as ruthless as possible?  We don't have much choice really: they throw the CC at us first thing.

Gathering companions is key. It's my hope that they will be accessible quickly in the game. I dislike knowing that a companion exists and nog knowing how to get him or her. For example I did Redcliffe first in DAO but not sacred ashes so I had to wait awhile before Zevran showed up. That was annoying.

Someone should make a comic.

First square:

Person A: Finally got my copy of DA:I!
Person B: Well don't forget real life still exists.
Person A: Ofcourse not, I'll play abit at the time - in moderation.

Second Square:

Person B enters room of person A:

"I havent seen you in days, you STILL at it?"

Person A, sitting in his/her room filled with empty soda cans and trash with dirty shirt and zombie face:
I havent started even started yet! Still deciding on make up and eyebrows

Person B: You need help.

When I start the game, my first priority will probably be screaming like a little girl. For a long time. After a fair share of screaming is done, I will probably be methodically exploring every nook and cranny in every area. I usually take it really slow at first in RPGs, I really like to immerse myself completely in the experience.

Gotta find or craft me a pretty set of armor, so that I can look cool when I'm killing things.

Assuming this is after I get my graphics set, and after I get my character made, I'll probably spend a few in whatever tutorial area that there might be.  Play with the controls, look up hot keys.  Come to think of it, probably my first priority is making sure my ability slots are keyed to my gaming mouse if it isn't auto-set.

If I decide to remain Knight Enchanter then my first goal will be trying to unlock it as quickly as possible. Other than that soaking in the game's story ever slowly...

My first and primary goal is to unlock the 4 war table perks that open up dialogue options. Want to make sure I get the most out of every interaction with companions, advisors, and other NPCs.

1.) Spend a great deal of time creating my female human mage.

2.) Begin exploring

3.) Find Haven & meet the advisor located there.

4.)  Chose a task, go forth & conquer!

My priority will be to obsessively, like an utterly sad psycho hoarder, pick up every single piece of loot and all herbs know (and unknown) to Thedas' herbalists... because saving the world can wait until every single deep mushroom is safely in my possession. That alone is going to eat up at least 20-30 hours of, um, "gameplay".

Definitely gonna spend over an hour creating my character. Always ends up that way lol.
After which I will look for/rally the companions. THEN ill do what I always do in games like these. Dedicate all my time to levelling, creating the most badass equipment, and levelling some more. Its not unusual for me to spend hours levelling in the same area of the game until I am maxxed out. Only then do I start to go through the story lol. Im weird.

Thinking up a name that doesnt sound stupid, then making an inquisitor that looks how I want them to be.

Then staring at every bit of scenery before finding my companions

Kill off every Love interest, as I am sick of the focus on them. Game is not about LI.  Rather be more focused on what weapon specializations will work out and what the crits are.

Assuming that I go ahead with getting EA's access for a month to get a early go it depends on what that 'demo' consists of, if its timed i'll jump straight into the story and see as much as I can in the time available.  If its limited in content, i'll probably spend hours creating inquisitiors while I wait for the game to come out.

Once the game comes out I'll be taking my time to explore as much of the world as possible.

You need a hug. Don't fight it.

Adjust the graphical settings to medium, to get at least a decent FPS and minmal stuttering.
