First priority: Create a character and get into him as fast as possible. If I can't get the right feeling for the character, I'll have a hard time roleplaying and enjoying the game. I've had to start over again in my first playthroughs of a few other games because of this, but I hope I won't have to in DA:I.

LOL that sound like me and my mother -and yes I'm 54 and my mother still gives me **** about playing video games - you would think she would have given up a decade or so ago.

Perhaps if the game has been running for 8+ hrs, a Low Health icon appears to remind the Player to eat, bathe, etc.

Other than that just exploring

My first priority will be to get a feel for combat, as well as my character. If one or both aren't working out, re-roll.

 

After that - get companions, start crafting early, get a horse.

Killing Hawke!!!! Kidding. My first priority will be just to take my time and explore.

I will probably spend a few hours creating a character I'm happy with. Then probably exploring every single thing in front of me (even though I'll be anxious to know what's happening with the story), I've decided to take my time and explore. I want to find Blackwall as soon as possible (because reasons), hopefully Sera and Vivienne too and then take my sweet time exploring.

 

It's gonna be really hard not to go on the BSN to read people's experience with the game but if I don't want any spoilers it's the only way to go.

 

16 DAYS GUYS!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!! Can't remember the last time I was this excited to play a game.

Hopefully it will be a quick event to prove if the character created still looks as good in cut-scenes. This has been a source of re-starts for me in DAO, Skyrim, ME, etc; many RPG's.

I don't think I'll be focusing on anything special. I'm just gonna play the game and explore it as thoroughly as possible - talk to everyone, go to every corner of the map etc.

1st priority: find a decent set of Assassin's Creed styled mage robes

2nd priority: find a horse

3rd priority: find and recruit Blackbeard ASAP

4th priority: find snow

5th priority: spend several hours running, jumping, and rolling in said snow

6th priority: see 5th priority

 

I'll be lucky if I finish the main storyline by 2020.

Absolutely nothing. I will play naturally and do what ever feels right.

 

Except for finding out the identity of the Elder One as soon as possible, but that won't affect me until 40 hours in when I finally get to the point where it becomes available.

I've never really been one to spend much time in the cc but with how good this one looks my first priority will be to make a gorgeous lady dwarf with freckles too woo sera with, after that, well I've preordered the deluxe version so I should hopefully get the flames stuff relatively early which should make me look sufficiently badass for a few levels.

Creating a character whose face doesn't annoy me an hour into the game. 

 

And then playing through the first bits as fast as possible so I that I can get the companions that I want.
