I remember long ago, in a time far far away, there was a mod or edit that allowed you to start the intro scenes and intro combat where the reapers invade in ME3 with any armor of your choosing and not just the beginning casual clothes. By default, you can't choose any custom armor until you get on the Normandy before the Mars mission.



Since the old Bioware site is gone and I can't find anything. Does anyone remember where this is, how to do it, or have it saved anywhere?

It's a bit involved, and I admit, male Shepard didn't work correctly for me but Femshep did.

For armor, the method I used is with Gibbed; although there may be a better/different way. I take a previous save, get the person in the armor and color I want, and then use Gibbed to match it. However...be careful of the helmet. What I mean is, I had the N7 helmet but with different lights (not sure if this was the cause) but I also had the game set to keep Shep's helmet on as much as possible. When she went to speak with Hackett after Mars, the game crashed. When I changed the armor in Gibbed to have no helmet, the I loaded the last auto-save and it worked fine.

If I remember correctly simple id change in coalesced.ini should do the trick. Find out what id does the starting clothing have and just change it to number of your desired clothes (switch numbers you can not have two lines with the same id). Same goes for armor on mars mission (this may require plotflag change, do not remember).

Old bioware site isn't entirely gone yet, with some google magic you can come a long way =)
