I haven't played DA:2 in a long while. But I seem to remember if you spare Anders, Sebastion will leave the party vowing to raise an army and march on Kirkwall. Was there any outcome where Anders could be spared and Sebastion remain in the party? (IE... banishing Anders instead of executing him)... I hated what he did, but he was such a likeable character in Awakening that I couldn't bring myself to kill him.

No, Sebastion will always leave. Sparing Anders clashes with everything he stands for. In the Keep, it asks if you recruited Sebastion, not if he stayed. I'm guessing that the decision on whether Anders is alive and well pretty much also confirms Sebastion's status as well.
If it matters in the end, I mean. I'm unsure whether Sebastian is confirmed for DA:I. If he is, it is probably only in reference.

Speaking of that, what's he gonna do when he gets to Kirkwall with his army and finds out Hawke and Anders left ? Will we hear of some prince roaming around with his army ?

Well, there is a rumor that Hawke will have his/her LI with him/her in DA:I.If it matters in the end, I mean. I'm unsure whether Sebastian is confirmed for DA:I. If he is, it is probably only in reference.

Varric doesn't mention Sebastian in the end. There is some cut dialogue tho.
