Just because the PC version is slightly better does not take away from the fact that the console version is great as well. I seriously fail to see what is so horrible about the console version. The only problem I have is that the cut scenes keep repeating themselves more than once.

I did mention the X360 graphics were kind of bad on another thread.

Everything else about the game is excellent so far, though. I'm about 5-6 hours in as a dwarf commoner warrior.

In my opinion the Graphics are great, I mean its better than most of the stuff Bethesda puts out and their games keep being hailed as the holy grails of RPGs.

The graphics are far from great. The design is good, and the story is great so far. Excellent voice work and acting.

But the graphics look old and washed out. Drab. I'm playing it on an X360 and have no plans to ever play on any other platform. But the graphics do not look great.

I dig the Xbox 360 version. It runs nice and smooth and has been a lot of fun so far. It doesn't have the graphics that Mass Effect had, but it still looks damn good. And most importantly, it FEELS like a BIOWARE game. What more do you want?

I'm loving the game. A lot. But the graphics do not look great. That's all.

Can someone explain though, why the console versions didn't have the different camera angles like the pc. You can't say room on the disc.

And I still can't understand why both 360 and ps3 couldn't have keyboard and mouse options. It wouldn't be that hard to include that on the game disc. And again, you can't claim room on the disc. It is all on the pc disc.

Ripped off.

I feel the gameplay and interface on my PS3 version is perfectly made. I wouldn't call the PC version better.....just a different experience. The console version definately feels more action oriented and the PC more tactical, but the OP is correct. The console version is a great experience as is the PC version. If I wanted to use my mouse and keyboard I would have purchased it for PC.

Bioware should have done a better job of making the differences clear. Even possibly adding something to the PC version's title (like Deluxe or Special Edition or something).

But... I still love my 360 version. I knew the differences going in because I did a little research before throwing $60 down... especially since I have a capable PC. In the end, I decided the sacrifices were worth it to play in the comfort of my living room rather than at my computer desk (where I spend too much time working already).

Microsoft do not support keyboard and mouse controls on the Xbox 360, for balance issues. If you want a KB & mouse, go play a computer.

The top down view isn't included because the point-and-click mechanics which I assume would be required for movement (rather than WASD) aren't exactly practical on a console without a mouse and keyboard.

I don't understand why ignorant people continue to say, just buy the pc version, like it's easy to pull a heap of cash out of your ass to buy or upgrade your pc. One thing about consols is that it is contant for a number of years and doesn't require an upgrade every month.

as a pc user i can say it's version is not for everyone, my system sometimes struggles at some sections of the game and drops to the teens in frame rate and i'm using a 2.4ghz quadcore and 2x8800gt in sli. while consoles are almost guaranteed to have a fluid frame rate because they are optmized that way. so really it's a question of whether you want a game that actually works because the Pc version is hit or miss on many people's systems.

*facepalm*

It's constant ignorance like this, which makes a lot of PC gamers look down upon console players.

PCs aren't that expensive anymore. Hardware has become relatively cheap and doesn't age as fast anymore as 5 years ago. You can get a decent gaming PC for 500-600$. You don't need to spend thousand like people always claim.

My rig is almost 3 years old. It still plays all new games in almost full details. I can also run Crysis perfectly fine.

Regarding the lack of tactical top down view on the console version...

I believe it has been covered many, many times by Bioware that the reason for the removal of the view was because of inherant memory limitations on the consoles themselves.

It has nothing to do with disk size.

Console versions are terrible. I have no idea why people still choose to play games on inferior hardware.
Muddy Textures, low resolution (>600p), awful controls (thumb sticks? really?) - Just another downgraded experience for the masses who don't know how to use a real system.

How about PC elitists and console fanboys just make a concrete and deliberate effort to get over themselves.

I mean, holy crap, we all love games. Some like it on PC, some like to sit on their couch and play it on the 42 inch flatscreens. But we all still like to play.

Just get over yourselves, everyone.

Console versions of what? This game? That game? Any game?

That is quite the broad generalization you have going there, and my own personal experiences have difffered quite a bit.

Yes, all console versions of games will inherently be bad. Its on a console -> console games are nothing but a slew of compromises.
No mouse and keyboard? well you get a game pad
No dedicated servers? well heres listen servers
Old hardware? well heres muddly textures and resolutions that havnt been used since XVGA days

This is true. I purchased my PS3 for $599 on release day. I purchased my 360 for $400, My wii platform for $250. In retrospect I built a decent gaming rig this past year for $300 worth of processor, mother board, memory, power supply , graphics card. You can not get a top of the line PC for cheap but you can definately get a "gaming PC for a decent budget of $200-$600 dollars especially if you piece it together yourself. In the end the consoles really are't that much cheaper and a moderately priced gaming pc rig will last you 2-3 years although playing on medium setting or so at the end of it's lifespan. It does not NEED to be upgraded everytime a new piece of hardware comes out. In the end we should all be playing on the platforms we enjoy most.

I can only explain your comments by taking it as you mean that all games MEANT to be played on PC that are also made for consoles are bad. This gives PC users liek you what.....maybe 1-2 games every year or so to use your comments on? I can just as easily say that all console games ported to PC play terrible.

While everything you say is true, it does not contradict the guy you quoted. I get sick of upgrading my computer, regardless of the cost. Granted, it's not once a month, but it's still more often than I would like. And everytime I have to spend time installing or unlocking or configuring or defraging a game, I start thinking of how I wish I could just plug in the damn disc and play it. I still prefer to play on my PC most of the time, but there are nice things about playing on a console too. To suggest that either opinion is ignorant, is IMO ignorant.

I'm not going to get into a "PC is prettier then console" or "Console rapes PC" or whatever nerd rage debate you want to get going.

What is the measure of success of a game to you? Cause to me it is about having fun while playing it.

I have played some insanly fun games on Console and I have played some insanly fun games on PC.

I have played games that were more fun on Console then they were on PC and vice versa.

I have played some amazing looking console only games, and have done the same for PC.

The whole point of this? No one gives a crap that you have a big video card, just play what you have fun with, drop the elitism, and let people have fun with what they play on.

"Look down"?!!  You megalomaniac pretend elitist.

PC aren't expensive, where?  Oh in the USA, that only country that matters.

A decent pc here cost up to and over $2000.

What a try hard.
