I don't understand why ignorant people continue to say, just buy the pc version, like it's easy to pull a heap of cash out of your ass to buy or upgrade your pc. One thing about consols is that it is contant for a number of years and doesn't require an upgrade every month.
eh, i last upgraded my pc a year and a half ago for the price of a new console, and it can still max or near max newer releases.
you only "need" to upgrade a pc every few years. the only people who do it monthly are those who want to be on the bleeding edge, constantly. but it's unnecessary, imo.

My only issue with the console version is how easy it is. I'm on Hard with 50% FF, I very rarely have to pause, and that's only because I don't carry a heal-stick style mage. I hope Nightmare will provide a challenge once I finish my first playthrough.
nightmare is available from the getgo on the pc, is this not the same with console?

It's constant ignorance like this, which makes a lot of PC gamers look down upon console players.
PCs aren't that expensive anymore. Hardware has become relatively cheap and doesn't age as fast anymore as 5 years ago. You can get a decent gaming PC for 500-600$. You don't need to spend thousand like people always claim.
My rig is almost 3 years old. It still plays all new games in almost full details. I can also run Crysis perfectly fine.
yea? well its constant arrogant snobbery like this that makes most gamers (thats right, most gamers are not pc gamers, deal with it) want to throw you under the guillotine.

How about PC elitists and console fanboys just make a concrete and deliberate effort to get over themselves.
I mean, holy crap, we all love games. Some like it on PC, some like to sit on their couch and play it on the 42 inch flatscreens. But we all still like to play.
Just get over yourselves, everyone.
totally agree

I now have a second issue... I have to sign in online to play it because for some reason the content I "downloaded" doesn't register unless I log into the dragon age servers. ><

While everything you say is true, it does not contradict the guy you quoted. I get sick of upgrading my computer, regardless of the cost. Granted, it's not once a month, but it's still more often than I would like. And everytime I have to spend time installing or unlocking or configuring or defraging a game, I start thinking of how I wish I could just plug in the damn disc and play it. I still prefer to play on my PC most of the time, but there are nice things about playing on a console too. To suggest that either opinion is ignorant, is IMO ignorant.
this is why I no longer play games on the pc anymore, haven't for quite some time. Well except for mmo's. PC fanboys are just more and more upset that they have fewer and fewer games to play boohoo, I laugh at you. PC to me these days as a gaming machine is nothing but an mmo machine. I will choose console over pc any chance i get. I also hate all you elitist ****s.

It's not snobbery. It's fact. PCs aren't the super expensive, elite status symbols they are painted as by console-tards. So it's can't be snobbish to point out that they aren't that hard to get.razdemi wrote...

Where do you live? If that's true, not in Western Europe.Purssy1980 wrote...
A decent pc here cost up to and over $2000.
Yes, like many things PC hardware is often priced with 1:1 exchange rates, which is silly given the strong Euro. You can still get a decent one for a few hundred. Heck, I've seen really good pre-built computers in super markets recently. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, but I've been impressed by the specs you get for so little money.

But for crying out loud these debates ruin forums. Nobody ever wins because both sides are extremely blind to each others advantages and disadvantages. So really it's probably not worth arguing about. The last post I made in this forum sort of came out wrong but it's late and I can't be bothered to edit it as it was response to a total moron.
As others have stated just enjoy the game on which ever platform you play it on. Many of the PC users here are Baldur's Gate fans or fans of games that were made with the old Infinity Engine so I'm quite glad to see that there are differences between the two versions. While I have no connection with Bioware I'd take a guess they intended it to be this way. PC gamers knew what they wanted, which is an experience that is close to the old IE games. Where as consoles generally are played by a far younger audience in the grand scheme of things and after Mass Effect to many console gamers it may well have seemed a bit dull.
No console gamer can complain about the console versions. You do need to keep in mind that Bioware would have done everything in their power to optimize the game for all three platforms to the best of their ability.
Anyway it's good to see some of you console folk enjoying it. Sadly I'm still waiting for my copy (PC, I'm a BG fan!) which, should lady luck be on my side, arrive sometime tomorrow in the post (mail to you across the pond folk)

Plus if it wasn't for all us console gamers paying £40 for our games, keeping the gaming industry going then you PC gamers wouldn't have luxury of getting games for £25 or whatever it is you pay

You don't really drive the market being a console gamer mate. Take a look at Blizzard Entertainment, who are the largest developer in the western world (can't speak for elsewhere) and are PC exclusive. World of Warcraft still has around 10 million people paying £9 - $10 a month to play it.
But granted I'm pleased you pay more and let us have it for less. Thanks I guess

And I still can't understand why both 360 and ps3 couldn't have keyboard and mouse options. It wouldn't be that hard to include that on the game disc. And again, you can't claim room on the disc. It is all on the pc disc.
Ripped off.
while that would be awesome, do you have any experience as a game
designer? I'm just trying to figure out why you assume it just wouldn't
be difficult to implement mouse and keyboard controls into a 360 game
