In the Keep, choosing to romance Sebastian and choosing to spare Anders are mutually exclusive tiles. A few months ago I asked about this in the beta threads (because Sebastian's breakdown could be rationalized in many different ways), and was told that these tiles are working as intended - if you spare Anders, the game will consider your relationship with Sebastian over, friend or rival path.

It's one or the other. If you want to end the story with Hawke still in an active relationship with Sebastian, you have to kill Anders. If you want to spare Anders, you have to accept that Sebastian pretty much broke up with you right there. Can't have it all.

I was really saddened by this. I guess somewhere in the marriage vows there was an instant annulment clause. :P

LOL  Yeah, and it gives me one more reason to hate the guy, actually.

I rather liked Sebastian's romance, which was markedly less angst-filled than the others. I disagree with people saying his romance was pointless, I loved that marriage at the very least was on the table.

I also like how Sebastian was kind of the voice of reason after Anders blew up the Chantry, saying something along the lines of, "Why are we discussing the Right of Annulment when the murderer is right in front of us?"

I can personally never spare Anders, even if romanced, so I'm glad I can use the Keep to have him alive in at least one playthrough.

I mean, granted the proportions, if one of your friends killed your mother (or the closest thing you have left to a mother figure in your life) and your boy/girlfriend decided to keep hanging out with that friend because they value a murderer's friendship over their own lover's personal grief, you'd be pretty upset by this turn of events too. You might even decide that this is not a healthy relationship to stay in, and break up with them, knowing whatever you had before has been ruined beyond repairing. I really don't see what's so irrational about that, or what is there to hate about a person having some sense of self-preservation in a broken relationship.

"One more reason" does not mean the only reason.  It's such a long list for me, and I'm not going to go into it here.  :)
