I'm very confused about this 6hr limit thing.  Is this in total, or per day, or cumulative?  I mainly want to futz around in the CC; does that count as playtime?  $5 isn't a big deal to me (I already paid for it, anyways) but I'd be annoyed if it's a one-time 6hr chunk that is sucked up in one sitting.

Not so sure about that. I've played some Timed trials that were real world timed where if you played for 10 mins but then dodn't play again in the next 6 hours your time was up. And I played games were the time was in-game time. Has it been confirmed which this is?

 

I guess some brave soul will confirm which before we launch our clocks...

I'm guessing it's going to be six hours in total, played whenever, but I imagine someone who's played an EA Access trial before will be able to let us know.

 

It'll be CC and possibly some MP with you guys for me. I don't want to progress in the game only to start over on PC a few days later.

Same here - I'd be too frustrated hitting the limit (of either time or level) and then having to wait another week to continue. So I'll probably have a look at the character creator, and spend the rest of the time in MP. I got to play the MP at EGX in London and it's SO fun! I'll be going through and adding people who've left their gamertags in this thread - mine is madzilla84.

I still got 4 hours on the FIFA15 trial. Don't know if that counts for something.

I think for some of the other games they said you needed to make sure you closed out the game in the dashboard or the clock would keep running.

Bummed it's just 6 hours. I'll more than likely to through the prologue in single player once or twice and then spend the rest of the time in MP.

Same here. I really wish they had a timer just for the singleplayer story, but then you could play as much DAMP as you want, more like a demo. Oh well. I cannot resist the pull of the story, so I am actually planning to rush through CC (gasp!) and get as far into the story as I can in 6 hours.

 

The funny thing is I'm seriously thinking of starting from scratch when I get my copy of the game, instead of just picking up where my last save leaves off. I would treat the trial like a dress rehearsal for my real playthrough, maybe. Not sure yet.

So, you're kind of paying for a demo with EA Access?

Some people, yeah. Others utilize the free games that come with it and this is just a perk.

It's not intended to be a paid demo, that's just the way it works out when that's all people subscribe for.

I thought about doing that too. I feel like it'll just make the last few day wait even worse though!

I've seen work arounds in the sports games where people were using multiple accounts and getting 12 hours worth or something. Might have to look into it :-/

Ooh that's tempting. But I wonder if I would want to first experience the story with my ideal character. Decisions!

It is. No idea if it'd work on DA but I guess you could switch your gamer tag in the game or something.

I don't know. We should all figure out when the best time to play is since it's so limited!

ok reading through the thread a few things I'd like to point out.

 

• No you can not switch gamertags to extend your play sessions.  You would need to buy a separate EAA membership for each.
• It is a 6 hour limit starting from when you start the game from the home screen.
• No the 6 hour limit does not reset it is a one time limit.
• to prevent losing time while not playing go to the home screen, highlight DAI, press menu (start), and press quit.  This will close the app so you don't lose time from your 6 hours.

If you guys have any further questions feel free to ask.

 

on a side note can someone lobby EAA or Bioware staff to give us the 6 hours in SP and unlimited MP till the 18th? that would be awesome.  Not to mention it would help test server load.
