I am in the UK and Dragon Age Inquisition is releasing a week later on the 21st.  So I pre-purchased the game through Xbox One (actually through SmartGlass while on holiday) and I am a member of EA Access.  So...what I want to try is after the game has downloaded and on the 13th set my console region to US and see if it will allow me to then play the game.  Because if it works then I will be able to try out the game TWO WEEKS early!

 

you don't have to do that if you are a EAA member the early access launches on the 13th for everyone.

Hey hey!

 

Since a bunch of us will be getting access on the 13th and are no doubt counting down the days, I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread for us, so we can discuss things without spoiling them for everyone else.

 

I know I'm starting this thread quite a bit early. I guess I'm channeling my excitement!

 

I've actually preordered the game on PC, so I'll mainly be fiddling around with stuff on Xbox, but even so I'm really excited for the preview and The Last Court. Are most people with access also getting the game for Xbox One?

DA:I will be ready to import our world states.

 

The trial is confirmed to be six hours of not just playtime but of the game application being open at all, so be sure to exit it from the home screen whenever it's not in use.

Ps for the dude that asked the EA access trial is not linked to xbox live account but to the actual EA Access acount. Meaning for you and your brother to both have a 6 hour trial both must subscribe to EA access.

surprised it's just timed. i would probably buy an XB1 just to play DAI 5 days early!!! as well as sunset overdrive, halo MCC and forza horizons 2, XB1 finally has a nice handful of exclusives and now i want one.

 

I beat Sunset the other day and have the MCC preloaded as well as Unity and Inquisition. It is a great time.

If I can't start the download until the 13th I probably won't get to play it until that evening or the next day.  But, I make my own schedule so I'm down for whenever!

Friday sounds good! Good point about the download; I fixed up my internet issues this week, but 41 GB is gonna take a while.

Yeah I bought the game (xbox one store) and that's how I got to download it early. Also since I bought the deluxe edition, will I get the all the weapons,mounts that come with it on the 13th?

That's a good question. I don't know.

I believe you will because it states it's the full game and when I click on the DAI tab in EAA it says manage rather than unavailable so It's already have the DLC and stuff Downloaded.  I wish if you already bought it they just give it to you a week early that would be some crazy incentive to go digital and get EAA.

It seems logical that the only restrictions are the time limit and location - not 'extras'...

Looks like it's gated to the Prologue and the Hinterlands.

Just signed up for the EA Access today and I am stoked! I know it's 6 hours of time allowed on the system, but I will probably sit down and bang out all 6 hours in one sitting - minus a few close down moments for drinks, walk around/stretch, etc... It was totally worth 5 dollars to get to try out this freakin' awesome game! lol

I got my xbox one today and bought ea access and deluxe inquisition which is currently downloading.   I play casual setting in every game and I am afraid of making a fool of myself in mp, but I will try. I played Origins and DAII on the ps3 and I am not good with the tactical stuff.  I like to play rogue but I still charge in to battle.  Hubby laughs at me, but I have fun.

On a separate note we need to get iron bull to join our marry band he said He'll be getting DAI on xbox.

Seems to suggest to me that the EA Access version will be like the one that some reviewers seem to have been playing with only the hinterlands area being available.....which would be good enough for me since I could spend over six hours exploring that area alone, never mind the time taken creating my first Inquisitor.

Enviable Memory, I'll play on Origin and Xbox Live, depending on the mood, and whether I can better hide from the family in my office or in the basement

 

So next Thursday, huh? If they go for a worldwide kick off for DAI EAA, will that also be at the same time of day? Have the stated the time of day yet? Or is there already a known regular timeframe (experiences with other access try-outs?).
