Am I the only one who really missed that too?
I mean, Carver see Hawke as a rival in the beginning, but them you can become his friend, even if you support the mages and all that stuff! This decision is really important, to see how Carver will react to Hawke on DA:I. I'll be REALLY upset if he still acts like a child who does not like his older brother/sister... In my main game, he "matured" as a person, he was not the aggresive/jealous boy anymore, but a man and friend of my Hawke.
And this affect his reactions specially in Legacy DLC!

What you guys think about that? Of course if we could add the Carver's friendship choice Bioware would need to create the same choice for Bethany, I mean, she can really be sad about Hawke if he/she is a full templar supporter.
And before anyone say: "Use the feedback tool". I already did, obviously. I just want to know if I'm the only one, and to get Bioware's attention.

See ya!

I'm torn on whether or not I want friendship tiles. I don't think they matter as much as some of the story choices that aren't there, for sure.

But that being said, we don't even know that Carver is in Inquisition and even if he is, Hawke isn't our playable character any more, so who cares?

So, no. I won't be sending feedback on this.

hmm... I think you didn't pay attention on the trailers, specially the last one. We see Hawke on our party, if a playable character or not, I don't know, but sure he/she has a big participation and/or importance on DA:I.
Anyway, if we find Carver, and if he talks about Hawke, he need to react according to his emotions towards him/her. Friend or rival. I know those are just details, but details are important.
Sorry we if my english is bad  :)

I'd like friendship tiles if they were going to make a difference in say, Inquisition. Since it's too late now and we know that Hawke is in the game, my guess is that it doesn't matter anyway.

We know that Hawke is in the game, yes, but a tiny little scene in a trailer doesn't mean they'll have a big role in Inquisition. It might be that Hawke (without their sibling) shows up for one mission and that's it. We don't have any information whether Carver or Bethany show up.

But it doesn't matter anyway because the game is gold at this point and any tiles added now are not going to influence Inquisition at all. It's too late.

The game has gone gold, so if Carver is in the game then his behavior is already defined and it too late to change that.

We already know there's going to be a day 1 patch, so that's not true.

Day 1 patches are for fixing bugs, not adding new dialogues.

Carver's relationship with Hawke kind of ends up in the same place after the Last Straw regardless of friendship or rivalry anyway. Even all his dialogue is the same if he is with you at the end of the game whether you were friends or rivals.

I made that comment too. But I don't think it will matter. If he is even in inquistion they'll probably say he aged and matured and is on better ground with Hawke, but it seems like not many da:2 characters are returning...we haven't heard anything about any of them except Varric.

If the subject of Hawke and Carver's relationship actually came up in the game, then it'd definitely be preferable to have this verified through the Keep. (For that reason, I don't expect it will come up anywhere in the game.)

His friendship was difficult to achieve, but rewarding, and it would be nice to see it acknowledged regardless. But I imagine it'd be a very low priority tile to add.
