I like Gopher's voice, just might decide to try him out if I want to watch a DA I lets play. Might be the only way I can enjoy the game at this point. ![]()

So did anyone notice in the Gopher video

Apparently the rebel mages are taking fashion advice from Anders.

I was also surprised that the game title isn't translated as all three words would have a native equivalent.
Titles generally aren't translated. Even in English, you very rarely hear, say, a French movie get its title translated into English.

I noticed. Maybe these mages see Anders as a hero, and took up his garb in his honor?

Nah, it's just asset reuse. There's a lot of that lately.

Could be. If there is a tie in, then it'll be said in-game.

Its funny, despite his short play time, Gopher has made the best preview video. I will look forward to his full review of the game. I do like his voice and how he talks about the game.

... I didn't think that would be possible.

I like this response for the reason blood magic was omitted. It is just a shame that blood magic was sort of lacklustre in the other games, the weirdest thing about it was that you took life from your companions in battle and they never mention it...
I think the best way to handle blood magic would be the massive dark side option at the end of KOTOR. Where pretty much EVERY companion goes, "WTF?!" and leaves.

At 2:09 there is a very nice rogue armor. I love the colors of it. I fear we will have to kill nugs to make it though ![]()

Interesting reviews. I am surprised at people saying there is difficulty determining which quests are important and which are just side quests.
Its pretty obvious the important quest is getting to Val Royeaux after you talk to the RM. Also, the whole other point of you going to the hinterlands is getting Horses....so that should give you a hint.
Also confused by the comment about the tactical camera not working like it did previously. From all the twitch videos and other streams it seems to work exactly the same.... except for the lack of auto attack, which didn't seem to be his point.
They all seemed to love what parts of the story they experienced, although I am surprised they felt you needed more background for the world. I don't recall the last game that truly held your hand about the world you were in when it started. If you aren't familiar, that is what codex entries are for. To educate you. Yes DAO had origins, but it didn't have some in game orientation about the world seperate from codex entries.
Have to say on the 2nd preview, considering the game isn't a platformer, I am not really concerned about how tight jumping works with respect to moving around the world. Horses are apparently tough btw.
Good previews though.

I think PC Gamer is probably going to give the game a very tough review. Phil did not sound very impressed and he's the one writing their official review.

Is he the one responsible for their atrocious da2 review?
