At least Elf Rebel Moron and Grand Duke Moron are more honest and have some fighting ability.

This amazes me. None of them are more honest. One is a manipulative assassin and the other has honor when it is convenient. He basically says so himself.

So you say that Orlais would've been plunged into Civil War if she'd accepted the marriage? Because if not, then yes, it was a peaceful alternative to the slaughter that followed due to Celene's foolish pride.

In Legacy we learn that it was Gerav who designed Bianca (Bianca was the only design that worked) but then in Until We Sleep it's revealed that it was actually Bianca that designed her namesake. 

 

Which one is correct? Sounds like a retcon to me.

The 'slaughter that followed' was not due to 'Celene's foolish pride, it was due to Gaspards greed and lust for power.

 

Gaspard started the war in an effort to seize power for himself, away from the rightful ruler.

The blood that followed is on him, not Celene.

Yes, Celene has so much right to the throne, especially considering how all she had to do to take it was have the family of her lover slaughtered in cold blood. Gaspard is clearly a greedy bastard, he admits as much. However, you cannot call Celene something better. She is a monster and her pride/greed kept her from taking an option that would've kept Orlesian blood from being shed.

No it is not there is a codex entry about that http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Bianca of course Varric is a liar and we may never know the whole true but there are some hints here and there.

Yea just like Varric killing 3 of bartrand's men with 1 arrow is a retcon right? Varric lies, if you played DA2 you'd know he likes to make stuff up.

Why would Varric lie about Gerav designing Bianca? What would be the purpose? It makes no sense, he's not showing off to Hawke like he did with Cassandra.

Not sure, people just like to yell retcon. He is a liar so maybe Bianca the person did the design and Gerav juts build up on it. I doubt we will learn the whole true,

I never said he lied to hawke though :-) i said that he lied about the Branka bit.
