Yes, Celene has so much right to the throne, especially considering how all she had to do to take it was have the family of her lover slaughtered in cold blood. Gaspard is clearly a greedy bastard, he admits as much. However, you cannot call Celene something better. She is a monster and her pride/greed kept her from taking an option that would've kept Orlesian blood from being shed.

Are you serious? The reason Celene refused was because Gaspard was a warmonger type and wanted to go to war with Ferelden. Even in its weakened state after the 5th Blight a war with Ferelden would still do a decent bit of damage to Orlais while leaving Orlais open to attack from other enemy nations. Even Gaspard admits he screwed up at the end of TME. You can believe Celene is a monster, but lets not try to pretend Gaspard is any better.

Well yes, that's obviously meant as a joke. But why would Varric lie to Hawke about who Gerav was (if he wasn't Bianca's designer)? What could he possibly gain by lying at the moment?

 

Isn't the really, really obvious answer to this that Bianca designed the crossbow that would bear her namesake, but that it was Gerav who actually built it or modified the designs after Bianca died/disappeared/whatever happened to her?

To my knowledge, neither Gaspard nor Briala lied to one they "loved" for 20 years because they craved power. Gaspard was quite upfront with his intentions and even gave Celene a peaceful way out through marriage.

They both betrayed their empress they had sworn an oath to serve. Gaspard flat out says his honor only applies to combat. He also attempts to murder Celene while hunting.

Briala actually gets mad that Celene didn't take the chance to kill Gaspard after they killed the arcane horrors.

I am saying none of them are more honorable then the others. That was my point. They have different goals but none of them is at all honest or honorable

Rumors are, it has gone private again, as they have already shown Stuff, that is still under EA Press Embargo [which ends Tuesday, November 11 - Tomorrow Morning. If I remember correct ].

 

I have the Video in Full HD Resolution downloaded on my Hard Drive. If the Video should not be public again after November 11, I will see if I can upload it to my unused Youtube Account. No guarantee: Depends on some legal Issues. So 50:50.

Why would Varric lie about Gerav designing Bianca? What would be the purpose? It makes no sense, he's not showing off to Hawke like he did with Cassandra. 

 

 

 

 

 

To me, the only "verifiable" truth is that Bianca the dwarven girl made/designed the crossbow. In the comics we see Varric with her in the fade, reliving probably one of his last moments with Bianca.

 

Everything that happens in DA2 (DLC's included) should be take with a grain of salt (except the major events ofc). Probably Hawke never met Gerav, it was just something Varric included in the story while narrating the Legacy events to Cassandra. Why would he tell her anything that is true about Bianca when even with Hawke he had trouble talking about it?

 

The DA2 story you know, is the DA2 story narrated by Varric. Many things he said could be different from what really transpired in those 7 years. The comics are not narrated by Varric to someone, so im more inclined to believe that, rather than the word of our beloved embelished storyteller:P
