Cass's armfold looks REALLY AWKWARD.
And she's jutting her butt out?
Cassandra is trying to puff her chest out ![]()
Chest puffing confirmed. I can now overlook every other flaw in this game.
Pretty sure it's impossible, but it's fun to dream
Past few big games, like The Evil Within and Civ V have both been released a day early on steam. Shadow of Mordor was released a few days early as well.
Though these are all steam games though, one can hope.
The last time I remember a game releasing early was when EA released NCAA Football like 2 weeks early...that may be the only time I am really aware of it.
As for Cass and her arms and butt, she is a 6 foot tall amazon in full armor trying to compete with a 3 foot Marilyn Monroe, give her a break. Those perky brains are hard to compete with.

I was gonna say huge tracts of land, but that works too.
Despite the general positivity, this has definitely got me worried. Though he could just have been going to the wrong places, I guess

This section was called The Hinterlands, and it had a very Skyrim feel, from the mountainous terrain to the general architecture of the area. Players are free to wander nearly anywhere within its boundaries, giving it an open-world structure which was revealed to be overstuffed with simplistic fetchquests and busywork. The dwarves want you to do a ‘geologic survey' by finding several types of mineral. Looking through binoculars reveals special stones dotted across the area which can then be collected. Letters are found with absurd frequency, each one detailing a death or a betrayal that the player is free to avenge. The local soldiers want warm clothing, the rancher wants the wolf problem taken care of, campgrounds (which act as fast-travel points) need to be discovered, there are demon-spewing portals that need to be closed, there's a horse race, and more. There are a huge number of things to do, although I have to be honest when I say that I found almost none of them compelling.

To be fair, there's so much content thrown at the player that I assumed I must have been following the story-lite questlines, so I asked Mark where I should focus my time in order to see more story beats of the kind that one could rightfully expect from Dragon Age. He directed me to travel to a new area (the Storm Coast) and said I'd find it there. I was a bit puzzled that there was apparently nothing juicy in The Hinterlands, but I followed his instruction and found a new land which was functionally similar to the one I'd just left. This time there was an ocean to skirt, but it held the same sort of shopping-list quests and I failed to find any story moments, compelling situations, or interesting conversations with my party

To reiterate, I only spent five hours with the game so this situation could change radically in the time that follows, but my first impressions were all giving me red lights.
HOLY EXPLETIVE SINCE WHEN DOES SOLAS HAVE RESURGENCE?!?!?!?!!??

After he got 4 power in the hinterlands he could have journeyed to Val Royeux to speak to the chantry. The guy on the one hour play through unlocked that in like 20 minutes...he chose not to go....but he unlocked it. Also, I am certain there is story elements in Redcliff, plus he one of the templar camps reveals that the templars in Hinterlands are no longer following orders from the Lord Seeker, and closing the rifts is part of the story.
There are also several other times it said you could go to the war table to unlock stuff that seemed story related. This is early in the game, so a lot of what you are doing is building the inquisition and establishing it, you aren't going to find major story reveals. Just like it appears they didn't get to play the start of the game.
We have also been told that the preview is designed to prevent much exploration of the actual story. If you reach a certain point in it independent of the 5 hour timeframe it ends.
...wait...there's horse racing?

I think it's best to keep in mind that they've not been shown everything. It sounds like he did not like the "fetch quests" and people hated that about Skyrim (I was personally ok with it as it meant I saw more of the world and felt more involved with it). He's a discordant note among many positive ones but that's to be expected. This game will not be everyone's cup of tea.
He must have never played BG2 though from the sounds of it again I try to inform people that sides quests are there for people like me however you can skip them and do just the main mission side missions are for immersion within the world itself. Every RPG has busy work fetch quests and engaging quests.
It was like that on the older pc games to the Nintendo days fallout and the like I could go on all day that's what a open world is so it is very overwhelming for people who like linear story's that just go from point A to point B. This type of game and BG2, Nw2, IDW2 ect have always had branching arcs and a main arc.
The developers stated like most games similar to this open world and older games you play how you want it does not force you to do the extra content.
Anyone spot a male Qunari in the CC yet? I can find a CC video for everything but, and naturally I'd like to play a Qunari this time around. At least on the first go.
In other news. That beard on the Qunari in the video was..not what I was hoping for. It looked as natural as Mr. Potato Head. I'm guessing the color contrast between skin and beard had something to do with it.

From what I have gathered, this game is going to have a lot of side quests. However, most of them are optional. As has been stated, you only need a certain amount of Power to unlock further story quests. So you could do a certain amount of side quests and then continue on with the main quest, or do ALL the side quests before you continue. It is your choice.
Usually I hate side quests; I hate how they have almost nothing to do with the main quest and they distract me from it. But Inquisition's side quests sound like they've solved that problem. Side quests pertain to the storyline in a way that makes sense, but that isn't necessary.
Can anyone recommend the best videos out of all of those?
Here is another one 60 minutes Hinterlands gameplay PC Published on Nov 3, 2014
Omg.. I can't watch it
On an unrelated note, Dwarf females are certainly...ah... perky... in their normal clothes.
Dwarven ladies have apparently created their own 1950s style bullet bras.

However in one of the videos I saw the quest to return the ring to the widow from Templars. Exactly the same quest was given by another NPC in one of the older videos. Scary thought, DA2 had recycled maps, DA:I has recycled... fetch quests?

They have changed the quest up. They aren't reusing the exact same quest. They moved the widow to a cabin near the templar camp rather then having her sit along the road.
I can't watch the 60min video either, is there another link to it? ![]()

BG2 had lots of side quests, but they weren't filler like these are described as.
