Black and death metal. I will not to listen to either of those sub-genres or anything of that ilk. That "music" is awful on all sorts of levels. This is coming from someone who enjoys a lot of different metal bands.

I always figure I'll find something I like from almost any genre.
Bluegrass? Hell yeah, sometimes that's nice
A guy playing piano in a jazzy way? Yep, sometimes that's nice to listen to.
Indian folk music? Cool, that sounds interesting.
Organ playing paired with a choir? I can't stop currently.

2nd: I love metal of all types, folk, blues, rock & roll (50s & 60s), Motown, Old-school Hip-Hop (New hip-hop is trash) and my favorite genre is classical. Some of the less pretentious "indie" hipster rock is okay... kinda.
Cannot stand country, maybe some Johnny Cash or Conway Twitty. All the new stuff is just too... stupid. Sorry "cowgirls"

That said, there is likely something from almost any genre to help redeem it.

Stupid lyrics without a purpose. Instrumentals have to be really bad to turn me off. I tolerate sub-par instrumentals because it makes the really good ones that much more noteworthy and worth breaking down.

mainstreampop, dubstep, techno and every kind of music you can only stand when you´re drunken. besides this it depends on the particular track. atm i prefer metal (thrash, (melodic)death, blackened death, symphonic(black))

Yeah, I'm somewhat similar to this. I like metal, but I can't listen to the more extreme forms of it because the vocals tend to annoy the hell out of me. It's a shame, too, because there are some bands I would probably quite like if they didn't have that irritating growling.Black and death metal. Anything autotuned to excess
Music without melody.
In general, if it has a beat, can be danced to or has moving lyrics, then I like it. If it is easy to sing along, then I really like it.

Starting with instrumental Chinese Music..
It has some gentle and/or artistic genres.
But there are some cheap cheesy carnival music that I really dislike.

You should like Sabaton then. ![]()
Most of my favorite metal bands are power metal. There are far too many singers that try to sound like Michael Kiske or Timo Kotipelto and it gets old real fast.
Both are good singers though.

Any and all pop music of the last 10 years.
The last good pop was 2003-2004 albums of Britney Spears.
Then she became batsh*t crazy like other pop stars.

Yes. 40s-70s was the peak of the country music. 80s and 90s were good for Country-Rock. New Stuff are simply trash and annoying.

It's terrible, and in my neck of the woods it's the main thing people listen to.
Country was never my #1 genre but I miss the kind of stuff I grew up hearing in the 90s. I loved Seminole Wind when I was a kid and I'm sure it annoyed the hell out of everyone around me...I still like it.

I knew the genre has gone down the toilette, but I didn't know how far!

I'll be that dude right now and simply say I don't like the stuff I don't like. And I like the stuff that I like.
It's pretty much that simple. I've heard so much music from almost every style and I've usually heard a couple tracks that I liked for everything.
