Considering both DA2 and ME3 got a demo (with ME3's having playable multiplayer!) what are the odds we'll get a demo like that for DA3?

I mean, it would be great to get a feel for how the game (and multiplayer) plays with the new engine and features before launch so that we aren't all headless chickens come day 1

I thought ME2 had a demo too? Anyways, it'd be nice. I know PSN people haven't had any decent demos, for quite a few months now. As if demos are a thing of the past.

No demo, there will be early access for xbox one, but that's only for xbox : ( . Don't like it either, but I can understand it from a developer's point of view. The areas are big in DAI. To release a demo that contains a big part of the story isn't a demo anymore. With mass effect it's easier because the areas there are smaller. The same with the DAI 2 demo.

And perhaps they want people to try the early acces program for the xbox one.

I think people would buy this game even if there wasn't a demo...which is why there isn't a demo.  Now, a character creation tool like they had for DA:O.  That would be cool.

Did skyrim have a demo? I know there's not much of a story to spoil in that though

ME2 did have a demo. With a spoiler warning even for the second mission which was somewhat further on in the game.

And yes there is a sad lack of demos, on ps4 at least.

Steal your friends xbone, if you don't have one, pay $5 for EA access and arrange two hours to be alone. That's about as close to a demo as we'll get this time around, maybe next time

Like others have already said, its not happening, so this is just hypothetical rambling really. I'd have been excited for a demo about a month ago - this close to launch I'm not sure I'd want it. Would be a bit like being told you can peek at your Xmas present early but not actually open it :) Don't get me wrong, if there was one I wouldn't have the self restraint not to try it, but kind of glad there isn't.

No it didn't have one.

Honestly I never bought DA2 BECAUSE I played the demo, and absolutely hated the combat, and art design, and remake of darkspawn and Flemeth, etc.  Then player reviews came in and that nailed it.  On the bright side it saved me $50.

Right now I REALLy want to try the combat in DA:I because that's really the only thing that concerns me.  It's just too much of a magical maelstrom of effects even for just melee attacks and buffs.  I can't tell what's going on and would like to try it to see how bad it is before buying.  Also I can only imagine the drain on PC resources to have all that going on.  So I'll wait a few weeks anyway to check out as many player vids before buying, if I do.

No demo. If there were even a possibility of Bioware doing one this close to release, a CC demo seems like the only acceptable option.

I think the DA2 demo was the reason quite a few people didn't buy the game, so that might be a reason... Unlikely though.

I mostly would like to play a demo to see how well the game runs on my laptop.

No No No demo for Skyrim. I think all games should have a short demo just so we know if our trusty PC's can play them before we order. :)

Jack's recruitment mission. Which came with spoiler warnings. The first part of the demo was the opening mission I think.

Demos are thing of the past, now they are called "full games with bazillions of in disc DLC"

If you have an Xbox One you can play Dragon Age Inquisition for a limited amount of time starting on 13th. If you like the game, progress can carry over into the full game if you purchase it. Can get 10% off on Dragon Age: Inquisition on top of that. I believe that's the closest you're going to get in terms of a demo.

Well I did just find out info that they will give free gameplay to EA access members only for 6h to try out game before game release  ^_^

(well if you are ea access member then you will get to try out game for free for 6h other then that there will be no 'free demo' like in previous games).
