I'm making this thread because when it comes to my fully sick Australian internet, I have the occasional connection issue. Basically what happens is when I play an online game at least once an hour I have connectivity issues where my internet will drop for 10 seconds then come back on.

Certain games account for this allowing you to reconnect (Dota), but from my experience with games such as Hearthstone, if you drop you aint getting back in.

What I want to know is Bioware accounting for this in multi-player and will it be possible to reconnect to a game if you drop out momentarily I don't want to miss out on an awesome feature because of where I live.

(And before you ask what's wrong with my net, all I can say is that its not my provider and it has more to do with the area code I live in)

I've had problems with connection to matches while playing ME3 MP, and it had more to do with EA's servers than my internet.  Really, the only way that you wouldn't miss out on a match in ME3 MP if you got disconnected would be to have someone in that match send you an invite to it.  idk if DA MP will allow people to jump in mid-match, so I have no idea if that would work this time around.  I suppose we'll know for sure when DA:I launches, huh?

I had some troubles with ME3MP too (can't connect to some friend, can't connect to EA, disconnect from a game, etc.), but it wasn't all that frequent, something like once every 48 hours. I tried everything suggested on the web from opening uPNP ports on my router to perform a rain dance... but it didn't solve anything. You know what I did to solve all my problems?

I changed my perfectly working Linksys WRT54G router to a Netgear. Since that day I don't have any problem whatsoever. My old router was perfectly fine with all my games except ME3 and it was fully updated (dd-wrt). ME3 probably used a special method or didn't account for all standards when they programmed their multi-player. It's likely the result of being their first "online" game. In any case, getting a newer router might help a lot in resolving any issue you might have.

Nah, I got a new router and everything, didn't fix the problem. It most definitely has to do with the area I live in, at least that's what the Telstra guy said when he rocked up to my house.

Maybe try a new ISP. For a few times now when I had internet problems I just conveniently mentioned to my ISP that I am changing to another provider and my problems would conveniently went away (with some extra goodies from the ISP to sweeten the deal)...

I don't know if you've seen the stream yet, but yes, they've compensated for disconnects/droppage now. They've really learned what to take from ME3 and what to leave behind.

Now, you can reconnect to the same group, or have your friends invite you again. Even better though, you collect all the xp/gold that you have up to the moment you drop. It's all given instantly to your account. So if you do drop, don't fret as much. I know that was annoying...you get to the last wave in ME3 and BAM. You lose all your money and xp (but mostly money..since that bought you everything you really needed..).

Great news we keep our 'loot' if the game drops out
. Was nothing worse in ME3 than reaching extraction in gold and having a disconnect. I didn't feel at all guilty when I joined a game and ended up with a few extra credits some how. Still wouldn't have balanced the credits lost.
