Considering the DA:I CC is much more extensive than DA2s, will any of you who used default Hawke customize them for your DA:I playthrough?

I may make some subtle tweaks. Frostbite!Hawke looked a little bit derpy in my estimation.

It depends on how Hawke ends up looking in DA:I. I chose the default female Hawke without the red smear on her face, so if she ends up with that mark on her face by default, then I'll have to at least remove it.

 

But overall, I quite liked the look of the iconic female Hawke so I won't completely change her looks.

Personally I loved the low ponytail , the one default Leandra gets. That will always be my default Hawke hairstyle .

heh, I can't remember if I customised much. I think it was one of the presets, slightly modified.

But since it is going to be new engine's CC, and I sux at CC I doubt I will be able to recreate that.

Same here. Couldn't stand either default Shepard, but liked both Hawkes.

Still I think I'm going to tweak the default Inquisitor.

I never used defaults. I always customized my Hawkes and if I have that option again, I will.

As beautiful as both Hawke's were, I couldn't keep them as default. 

I had to customize them to something more "me", so if I can in DAI, 
you know I will be making sure they aren't default.

^^^ Same. Her head seemed quite round on the trailer. And I'm pretty sad the hair was different from DA2. I always liked that bit of hair in front of her eyes.

I think the defaults are quite attractive, so it depends on whether they look the same in DAI. Fem Hawke looked quite haughty and elegant in DA2, but she seems more ordinary and youthful in the trailer.

Depends on if we can take Default!Hawke and tweak.  That's what I want - a tweaked default Hawke.  

 

But I expect it'll be like Sheploo and we won't be able to tweak it.  Curses.

I never use default appearances in game if there is character creation in it.

 

It is simply always much more fun to make your own unique character

We'll see how she looks. If she doesn't look much like DA2 Marian, i'll try to make her look close to DA2 as much as possible.

My first few Hawkes (Many rogues and warriors) were custom, but nothing felt quite as right as playing Mage-Hawke with his default appearance - it just felt right. Ideally I'd love to take the default Hawke model and add a couple more scars to it in order to show the time that has passed between the games. After all that has happened, I'm convinced Hawke had the chance to get in more trouble between DA2 and the time he finally meets the Inquisition crew.

I kept the default Hawke appearance on my first playthrough, despite being a big fan of character creation. I felt it was just too jarring having Varric be so wildly off the mark in his description of Hawke, so I didn't change a thing.

 

For the same reason, I'm going to keep Hawke's appearance the same in my initial playthrough of Inquisition. It would not make any internal sense within the world for Hawke's appearance to drastically change, and that kind of thing bothers me. At most, I might make his beard longer or change his haircut, although I suspect I won't have the option to modify him (as was the case in DA2). However, I trust Bioware will do a good job of recreating default Hawke, so this shouldn't be an issue for me.

 

To be honest, I'm actually somewhat relieved: creating a character from scatch is one of video gaming's greatest pleasures; re-creating a character's appearance is an absolute nightmare.
