I liked the look of the defaults, but it will depend on how the default looks in Inquisition. I might change it if they just don't look right.

Don't know why people don't use the character creator if applicable. I love creating my Hawke even if the CC in DA2 sucked, I went with the horrible fade/buzzcut. I will definitely be customizing my Hawke and give him a better look, hairstyle especially.

If I'm able to make a Duncan look alike, most certainly I'll change him. Like I did for DA2. I so would love my Warden to meet his cousin Hawke, and go... "O_O D-Duncan?". Won't happen, but can if you say it did in mind.

 

As a side note, I remember before DA2 people were going "OMG IT'S DUNCAN!!!" or "No way, IT'S DUNCAN'S SON." Imo I think it'd been cool if Hawke's dad was actually Duncan. OR. At least Malcolm and Duncan were brothers. We have no idea what Malcolm looked liked, save he and Hawke share the same personality.

I use default Marian Hawke - I've had custom Hawkes too but she's my favourite by far. In DAI, if I can go with the default without the blood smear, I'll do that. Otherwise - I don't know if I'll try and recreate her from scratch or just live with the blood smear (it *has* been a few years, I suppose).

 

I'll miss her DA2 hair, though; always thought it was lovely.

I was quite fond of the default Marian Hawke's face so at most might change her hair and maybe age her a little.

Default MALE Hawke is beautiful.

However lack of other options even remotely close to as appealing were non-existent... so I went default.

Considering the DA:I CC is much more extensive than DA2s, will any of you who used default Hawke customize them for your DA:I playthrough?

Probably not. I used default Hawke in DA2 only because the customization options were atrocious and everything outside the default face was hideous. BioWare's new CC is certainly robust enough to create more variety, but I'm used to Hawke's face by now.

Definitely going to edit my Hawke's appearance. That black hair just won't do.

I used custom Hawkes, but I sort of like next-gen Garrett. He looks like a combination of da2 cinematic trailer Garrett and vanilla, in-game Garrett. I think actually it's the hair/beard that make him look weird. His beard isn't as pointy at the corner of his jaws and stuff.

Yes most definitely. All females of course because that is the only gender I will be using in Inquisition.

For me Hawke is default Hawke. Hawke was never really my character so I felt no need to customize her.

Definitely not, I love Male Hawke's default appearance. He looks like a medieval commander Riker!

Hawke isn't my character anymore now that Bioware is running the show exclusively, so no. It's just an AU Hawke who happens to share a lot of the same background.

I'm actually really happy with Hawke's new look in this screenshot from the latest trailer. He's aged realistically, looking like he's got a bit lazy over the years, putting on a bit of extra weight and growing his beard out. I like the idea that he might have retired from adventuring after DA2, but is convinced in DA:I to stage a comeback of a sorts.

I'll keep default Hawke for my male mage version, for all the other classes and genders I'll use the CC.
