Hello, Dragon Age Inquisition is coming out soon and I am very excited to get my hands on it. However, I have run into a bit of a personal predicament. You see, my roommate recently bought Borderlands the Pre-Sequel and enjoys it very much, and he also plans on getting Far Cry 4 as well. He owns an Xbox 360, but plans on getting a more advanced computer, just not in the near future. He usually haggles me because I exclaim that I am willingly to wait a year or two for a newer console or more powerful computer just so I can experience the full potential of the games I want to get. My roommate tells me that I shouldn't let "not having advanced tech" bother me from taking pleasure in enjoying a game. But because this is Dragon Age we're talking about I'm not sure if I'll be able to wait.

My question to all my fellow dragon age fans is this: Should I not be ashamed about waiting to get the game on a newer conolse/better computer so I can experience its fll potential or should I just not worry about the specs and buy it on my Xbox 360?

KproTM, I agree with your roommate and getting the game anyway you can right now is best, though it would probably be the more expensive route.  You should weight in your pros and cons and decide from there.

 

Pros:

- getting to play the game.

 

Cons:

- might have to buy the game again.

- have to avoid the internet, because spoilers

- not playing the game

- not enjoying the graphics(if that kind of thing is important to you)

Thanks for the feedback! Graphics don't bother me much, it's just that if I buy for the 360 am I gonna miss out on some game mechanics or extra goodies that I might miss out on if I don't get it for the Xbox One or a more powerful computer?

No, just graphical stuff and background npc's

 

Everything important is in there (although you won't be able to play it on the 13th like xbox1 people can)

Graphics and tech aren't Bioware's trademark. DAO was an hideous port on the 360 that didn't do justice to what the console could do. It's probably the ugliest game I have on that console. And yet I've spent hours playing it. If you reall want to be careful, wait for the reviews, as long as there's no framerate issues and the UI is good, go for it.

And the day you buy a new system will be the time to explore this universe anew.
