I think it's risky to purchase this game on last-gen, so I'm going to wait for a few months until the PS4 gets a price drop. Same as the game.

I'm genuinely confused as to how this is "risky"... care to elaborate? Not as graphically advanced, sure, but risky?... I'm not seeing it.

This thread is a lovely idea!

I'll be on PS3. Literally only just bought that (and that's mostly because my 360 seems to be on its last legs) and the brand new ones remain far too expensive! Especially since DAI is the only thing I'd be playing on Xbox One or PS4. Well, Dreamfall Chapters looks good, but there's only one chapter out so far, and I doubt that'll change soon.

PC brings its own issues too. So yeah, PS3 for me!

PS3 player here!

I'm more bummed out over being unable to play multiplayer with my friend than anything (she's getting DAI on PS4.)

Stuck with a crappy built in PC bought before I realised I wanted a gaming PC. The funny thing is, I do have a PS4 but really don't want to play at 30 fps on console (all previous dragon age's have been played on PC).

No plan to get the next (current) gen console for the moment and I'm only due for a PC upgrade sometimes next year.

But I will want to play DAI on release day, I will get it for the PS3 (sick of being frustrated over region locked games - which I haven't gotten a clear answer on for DAI. Hence I will not be getting it for the 360).

I will eventually end up getting DA for PC after a few years, just as how it had been for the past 2 DA games.

Can't wait for any DAI related contents atm, HoDA has left me with enough of a bitter taste.

Ah, the dusty abode where the peasants gather :P

Kidding, kidding. My friends are probably going to get the game on PS3 and have a blast playing multiplayer, while I'm going to have to use matchmaker like a sad panda since I'm the only one in the bunch with a half-decent PC.

One thing I'm curious about is how in hell they managed to cram Inquisition's beautiful graphics on old gen consoles without having them explode. I assume the quality is vastly downgraded and it barely runs at 30 fps. Still a fairly remarkable feat of tinkering.

The real question is: How many people will rebuy the game if they get a next generation console?

I'd be interested to see answers to this myself.

* I'm playing on Xbox One

Pineapple can suck a gangreen toe!

But everything else I agree with you! Huzzah!

If I upgrade my compu-treh, I think I might buy it for PC, but only if I can do controller support. I'm all for Keyboard and Mouse. But with recent errors in both that I have. I don't have the scratch to go upgrading my PC *And* Supplementary equipment.

Still don't see how that's a "risk". It's pretty much a fact that older gen consoles will run the game at lower specs than newer gen consoles... Pretty sure most people running with older gens know this, hence it's not a risk. Maybe I'm just looking too much into the use of the word risk  :P

Probably not.

Ignoring that It's unlikely I'll ever get a next-gen console, I just have no interest in buying the same game twice.

... Unless it's Fallout Nw Vegas, apparently.

I'm planning to get a PS4 at some point (once I get some form of income.)

My brother has one already, but he bought that when he had a job. He pretty much bought it a week or so after release.

Honestly though? I would probably get DAI again once I have a PS4. I wonder if it'll have a shared trophy list though.

It wouldn't really be all that unusual for me to buy a game I've got/have had on a different console. I have some games for PS3 that I originally had on Xbox 360.

Cameron Lee implied that the framerate wasn't quite 30fps on PS360 in a recent stream.

He basically said they were 'trying' to get it to 30fps on last-gen consoles.

I'm debating pc or Xbox myself. My computer isn't completely at recommended settings but it can run it.

The only scenario I could see with me rebuying it when (if) I upgrade to next gen would be if it was a few years down the line and they released some sort of uber collectors edition at a discounted price, and I was hankering for a solid RPG... even then it's an outside chance.

Xbox 360 player and proud here :police: . Played both Origins and DA2 on the console as well, have DAI preordered for the 360.

My PC died recently :crying: and no $$$ for a new one sadly enough. Plus, the new-gen library really hasn't impressed me to the point where I want to upgrade, especially since the same games are being made available for what I already have. But honestly I enjoyed Origins more on the 360 being I'm not much of a keyboard player. I like the feel of a controller and getting to use a large screen TV as opposed to staring at a screen.

Nothing special sound system/TV wise. Using my crappy TV upstairs so I can connect to Xbox Live for the Keep. Then I'll transfer downstairs to use the much bigger TV to play the game on (I don't have Wi-Fi and no downstairs Internet connection. Yeah I know but what can you do =] ).
