Still don't see how that's a "risk". It's pretty much a fact that older gen consoles will run the game at lower specs than newer gen consoles... Pretty sure most people running with older gens know this, hence it's not a risk. Maybe I'm just looking too much into the use of the word risk 

 

Personally, I'd say the risk would be that the decrease in graphical and environment quality would decrease my overall enjoyment of the game.

 

In reality, it probably wouldn't have much effect, but I've been wanting to play this game for so long that I really want to play it at it's top form.

I got my ps4 two months ago, thanks to my lovely girlfriend (kinda a late fathers day gift, seeing as how we have a daughter who has just turned 1!) Haven't looked back since. I feel sorry for those of you who would like to upgrade but can't afford it.

Welcome to what PC gamers have to go through with near every multiplat game, practically, since ever. You eventually get used to it. As long as I get my 60fps though, the game looks beautiful enough to me.

ill be playing on a 5 year old non-gaming laptop but since it runs BF4 on ultra i dont give a crap

What kind of witchcraft are you using?   My laptop which is about the same age is now struggling to even run DA Origins properly (It is Dell XP15 with i5 @2.3 gb , Nvidia 525m with 4 gb ram etc.)

 

Anyway PS3 here and I can bring some sodas and chips.

They didn't.  Anymore then they weakened the PS4 version for the XBONE. Or they weakened the PC for the consoles.

 

Lady Insanity said their are graphic differences between the console versions, but that the main differences will be fewer filler NPCs in areas and background conversations on ps3 and xbox 360.

 

She also said the PC version could do 4k, but most rigs won't be able to run 4k with max settings.

Playing games on low/mid settings has basically been my life, so having the best graphics isn't that important to me. However, that doesn't mean I won't continue to wish that an Xbox One/Extremely Powerful PC would just randomly parachute in through the window...

I pre-ordered the new Alienware Alpha, but the damn thing doesn't ship out until the 21st which is 3 days after Inquisition's release, and I'm too damn impatient and curious to go a whole week without spoiling or driving myself mad, so Xbox360, and when my PC gets here, then that. Best of both worlds

I thought Alienware alpha could only run steam games and DA runs on origins.

The game will look fine dont worry guys, less detail but same content and it's frostbite 3 engine so it will look great

All ps3 games that are recently being released look gorgeous because developers know the system so well. I believe ps4/xbox one will be pushed in the next years but not yet, the transition it's still happening.

PS3 here. I tend to use stuff until it completely dies. The poor console can't play discs anymore but it can still download stuff, so I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon. I may or may not buy a PS4 copy of DA:I when that happens, it depends on how much I like the game.

I've preordered Inquisition for PS3. Considering I haven't really played around on the PS4 yet, I don't think I am going to notice the "difference" and that doesn't bother me one bit. As far as I am concerned, Inquisition is going to look great to me and that's all that really matters   Plus, Destiny looked great on PS3 (I didn't have a single complaint) and I can think of other things that require my money rather than a PS4.

 

Any other PS3 users planning on doing multiplayer?
