I think it has to do with the fact that it is very insulting. Or at least you mean it as one. Or you mean that because it is old it is invalid and should be ignored. Thats kinda stupid. Math is pretty old.

Im not a religious christian myself, but thats really just a semantics thing. Im not what you call a "normal" christian. Most "christians" dont know the Lord. I digress.

I don't agree with people being called homophobic because they go "It's gross!"

They do need to mature a little though. >_>

Well.. it is kinda gross... Image IPBImage IPB

Right. It's a simple desire.

BioWare understand how important the romances are to their customers or they'd never have included six of them.

SorrowAndJoy7 - and would your stance be the same if they only had, let's say, one female in the party and she was a lesbian and a straight Shepard could not romance her leaving no heterosexual male options in the game? Would that still be "the best possible character" for you?

lololol i think its hilarious that you people of both sides are arguing about 1% of the game.

seriously, your're gonna have the ignorant extremes that 'wont buy the game because it has gay/doesnt have gay romance', which i laugh at because your implying that your getting the game for the sole reason of being able to/not being able to have a homosexual relationship.

guys, srsly stop. its annoying. all the romance threads (tali, garrus, gay) are a joke. the romance portion is so small compared to the game. and b4 flaming, i played ME1 (obviously) and i did one playthrough w/o romancing anyone. lol saved me time if anything. like you guys are complaining about dialogue and a few cinematics. its just embarassing

Its Bioware's right to decide what is and isnt in the games they manufacture.

True, and in the previous game they established that they wanted it in their game, why they don't want it now, is the question.

It would be fine with me honestly. I love this game for the characters, their personalities. The fact that I can get them naked for 2 seconds of censored humping doesn't mean much to me. The characters bioware creates are flat out amazing. To me this isn't amazingly different than people who can't be happy in life unless they're in a relationship. Friendships and gettign to know people isn't just about screwing them.

Isn't the climatic ending scene actually less dialogue and fewer cinematics?

And 2) When someone asks you for a favor - it is customary to aquiesce and cease from further defying the request.

---

This topic is supposed to be about including an option for Shepard to be gay/lesbian.

---

Oh, and I'm not insulted Mummolus. You can say whatever you like. I find breeders to be largely calcified traditionalists clinging to a tradition (sex for reproduction) that science has made completely irrelevant. But, please don't be insulted.

Im not actually religious. hmm maybe thats not right either, To be clear, I beleive in god, I just dont beleive in originzed religion. I say this so you understand the following question is not in defence of churchs and ministers and all that.

So your saying that even though vastly larger group of religious people, who have stayed outta this topic btw, its ok to add your beleifs even though it makes them uncomfortable and might even force some to not buy the game!

As I said, I dont beleive in churches but last I looked, there was a crap load more people going to church and worshiping god (in all his forms) then there was homosexuals world wide

So help me understand, why should you wants and desires be given by Bioware and the wants and desires of a much larger and more powerful group of people should be ignored out right!

Again, understand, im not saying whats right and wrong and whose right and wrong, im simply asking a question that seems obvious to me from your last statement! I know the mindless ones of your group like ERJAK2 wont answer as well they just ignore and insult anything out of their scope but hopeing you can validate this for me.

in a nut shell, why are you more important then them?

How are they more important then gays? <_< Because someone else's lifestyle makes them uncomfortable gay people should just stay hidden as to not disturb their bubble? I doubt white people were comfortable with free black people walking around after slavery but hey most of them got over it.

Some of them didn't but that's another story.

You shouldn't trample on the minorities freedoms just to make the majority feel that they're right. Shouldn't outcast people that are different because the majority happens not to me. Heck what about handicap people? Should we start telling them since they're not the norm to GTFO?

And this has nothing to do with same sex romances in ME :D

sorry way off topic. NM this post. Moving on moving on.

I'd agree, except the 'friendship' paths usually aren't as interesting or meaningul as the 'romance' paths with characters.

Touche. But I tend not to agree on the basis of the bible being ridculous degrading to woman and having that be the norm and accepted. But that's my personal beef with it. <_<

Mostly though I don't like organized religion because people on a whole are cruel, foolish, self-centered beings and when there's a lot of them together...:pinched:

I include myself in the somewhat stupid portion XD Everyone's a bit foolish/dumb/ignorant in some way and to deny such is to be a true fool.

Ok, I first have to say- I support homosexuality. Im a guy. No- Im not gay.

I also, however, think that asking Bioware for homosexuality THIS late in the game is laughable at best. I guarantee you, all the games are already shipped, and waiting at the stores to be shelved. It aint gonna happen.

Also, Romance subplots are an optional part of the game. I realize that this point has been argued to exhaustion, but the fact remains.

If none of the romance plots fit your 'needs' then just ignore that part. Stop whining about it at this point, cuz its WAAY too damn late.

I honestly wish you best of luck in ME3.

SorrowAndJoy7 -

I never said I wanted to have virtual sex actually. I do enjoy a romantic interaction between two characters as a story element. I do enjoy the dramatic tension that could be built - I do enjoy the idea that my Shepard is attached to more than just "PewPew Hero-Power!" - that he's more of a living element of the Mass Effect universe.

----

Sphynx - and neither should it sell well. I don't think you'll find anyone who would argue that. We just want a minority of the romancable characters - to be a minority.

Hah, wow, I completely missed a post in the flood of replies, there.

How about "please stop flooding the forums with threads demanding gay Shepard"? Oh, right, that's been ignored. Again you expect people to treat you courteously while refusing to adhere to your own standards.

This topic is supposed to be about including an option for Shepard to be gay/lesbian.

And it's what, the 15th in the last 4 days?

Oh, and I'm not insulted Mummolus. You can say whatever you like. I find breeders to be largely calcified traditionalists clinging to a tradition (sex for reproduction) that science has made completely irrelevant. But, please don't be insulted.

Haha, "breeders". How original.

Anyways, I only posted here to point out the problem with the poll someone was trying to cite as proof that everybody wants gay sex, I didn't intend to get into such a discussion and I certainly don't visit internet forums to be insulted.

Judging by the fact that you can breeze through the game in 11 hours (granted your guaranteed the bloodbath ending but still) they should have focused less on the romances and more on the main story length. :pinched:

11 hours. Bah. I can never get through DA that quickly even when skipping dialogue and using god mode items. >_>

A little aside: When this thread gets locked and a new one has to be created due to trolling on both sides of the "debate", it should have a "Pt. 2" in the title. It's a part of what worked so well for the Tali/Garrus romance threads, and it lets others on the forum know that a number of people really wanted those features. When you see "Talimance Pt. 32" it's pretty impressive, honestly.

Anyway, an optional DLC gay romance would be awesome.
