Yeah and you're in here with a bunch of other equally immature posters stomping your feet and whining about how you don't want to see any topics you don't agree with exist on the forums. 

Homosexual relationships make you uncomfortable and you don't want to be uncomfortable.  Your whole argument is about getting the perfect game for you, and so you go in and stomp your feet just as loudly and inconsequencially that other people shouldn't get their presents even though you got yours.

Look at yourself and think for a little while when you post things, lest you look like an incredible hypocrite.

Have we learned nothing from past threads? Stay on topic, don't rise to the trolls. All they seem to do is purposefully come to these threads to spout their baseless objections and everyone rises to them, mods say yay and lock the thread so devs never have to deal with the issue, a new thread is created and rinse and repeat.



Having same sex romances takes away nothing from players who don't want it, since the NPC romance options are ALWAYS romancable by BOTH GENDERS. Nothing is forced upon anyone who doesn't want it.



It's also not about equality or being fair. It's about continuing what ME1 started and to a lesser extent the trend Bioware has had for its romances in its games. Bioware has backtracked on this due to maintstreaming ME2 or whatever, especially that 'Asari are monogendered, it's not F/F' crack. Hell, even Kaiden at one point in ME1 says something along the lines of, in regards to your romancing Liara, 'rumour has it that you're a... (you know what)'.



All people want is the same sex choice that was in ME1. People expected it, people feel slighted. Until this is addressed, these people (including myself) have every right to express their desire on the game's forum.

I dare say, im far from alone on that, off hand I know 10 freinds that all played DA:O and all made the same comment about Zevran (one reminded me I could kill him upon meeting in future games so thats what I do now) yet not one of them posted here.

Yet one of the main arguments you "no gay option" posters make is "your still gonna buy the game, deal with it"  Same can be said for Zev, he was Bi, you bought the game hopefully knowing that aspect was in DA:O as it was advertised and talked about, photos included, ad nausium weeks before it's release.  If you couldn't deel with Zev in DA:O, I wonder how you deal with openly gay/Bi people IRL.  What if a gay man hit on you in a bar thinking you as well were gay, what would you do?  I hope you wouldn't be horrendously insulted because it was an honest mistake...

About DA:O, I hated Morrigan's incescent b*tching abot my "good natured" deeds, so I snuffed her every chance I got, I really didn't like that aspect of her, but ya know what, I dealt with it, just how you people have "dealt" with same sex relations in past Bioware titles. In fact I have not seen as of yet a thread that's 30 pages long b*tching about the inclusion of zev or Leliana's sexual preferences on the DA:O boards. 

Let's be honest, you didn't really care, it didn't fundamentally turn you off of the game, just as the exclusion of same sex partners in this game doesn't fundamentally turn me off of ME2.  It's simply more immersive if it was included for a good portion of people who wish to roleplay their sheps how they want. 

I'll refer again to my last point in the previous post, more options = more fan appeasement = more profit = ability to create more options in future titles

You are one of my new favorite people. I believe that once the game comes out, and we really know for sure what the romance situation is in Mass Effect 2, these threads will become better and may even get a Developer response.

I'm not accusing him of bigotry. I'm accusing him of not disclosing his actual emotional commitments here.

Edit: What I've got is that he seemed really bugged by Zevran. I can't imagine why. Like I said, I haven't played male yet (next time), but I can't see a rational reason to be bothered by anything he says. It's just Zevran doing what Zevran does, and there's no reason to be bothered by that.

If you've got an alternative description, I'll consider using it. "Homophobic" isn't quite the right word, I'll admit, but I'm not aware of another one that captures the weird discomfort that some folks seem to experience when faced with homosexualty.

It's a part of what worked so well for the Tali/Garrus romance threads, and it lets others on the forum know that a number of people really wanted those features. I agree with this. Sequential ordering. It works wonders. Remember add a pt.2 so it will seem more like a continuation and less spamming.

No, this doesn't happen. If you say no, they will stop.

The way it works for all four romance options -- Zevran, Morrigan, Alistair, and Leliana -- is that they have several romance "triggers." If you outright deny them at any one of those triggers, they will not bring it up again, there will be no more scripted triggers.  Or, you can respond positively, and from then on you'll be in a romance with them.

However, some of those triggers have more ambiguous reponses, as for example if Zevran calls you "handsome" and you flat out ignore that he ever said that and pick a response that doesn't have to do with affirming or rejecting that flirtation, ("Let's move on/tell me about Antiva/something like that") Zevran and other characters will continue to toss out those romance trigger one-liners at various points in their approval process.  There aren't that many, just two or three.

Too many Japanese artist draw their guys to look like girls. I can never tell if I'm supposed to be attracted to them or not (except in One Piece, that comic is wins). Besides, all the men in Mass Effect 2 look like men. Add a male Shepard, and you have the toughest, manliest couple in gaming history.
