You suggested that just because there's a same sex romance between two women available that this somehow appeases same-sex people on a whole, like there's no difference between gay and lesbian. You basically said there was a '******' relationship and that should somehow solve the problem for everyone. Not to mention your phrasing seemed intentionally offensive.

You do realize that in modern English language the word "gay" is gender-neutral? Take the word of a linguist. "Lesbian" is a gender-specific word. "Gay" refers to all forms of homosexuality. Regional variations may apply, but in standard speech it's perfectly acceptable to call a woman gay (assuming that she is, ofcourse).
Ofcourse the state of the subculture being what it is, it can be tad difficult to find the proper terminology, as some parts of the gay community find certain terms in certain contexts offensive, and others acceptable or even desireable. Blame the never-ending wicked circle of turning clinical descriptions into insults, and turning insults into ironically acccepted positive descriptions.

Well what word instead of 'gay' would you like me to use to differentiate the two? My meaning was clear.

This is exactly the type of thing which scares devs off; having things forced in their faces. I'm gay, yet I'm disappointed at all this cringeworthy yaoi being posted. It's really lowering others' opinions on the standards of gay people (Not that the majority of homosexuals have a good reputation for being likeable or tolerable people).

My main problem is that people often use Dragon Age to defend BW's inclusion of no romance for gays (Or simple refusal to announce anything about it) by bringing up Zevran, a character that was as deep as a puddle and just as satisfying.

I would like nothing more than a Garrus romance for male Shep, especially seeing as it doesn't revolve around sex. It wouldn't be that difficult to swap in a small alteration to dialogue every now and then, nor would it hurt sales; straight people don't go looking for gay romances.

As a gay man I can understand how alien it seems to both straight men and women, and I can understand homophobia to an extent, having no faith in the entire 'gay community of whiners and paraders' business, but all in all, I am disappointed. Doesn't stop me from buying the game, but it'd be nice to know that I've been waiting for a decently written romance available to males (Not necessarily written as a gay romance) since Baldur's Gate and that I'm finally getting one.

Men being men, woman on woman action is much more wanted, so probably 75%+ want that option in the game, which is why it is in.

Also,  on a more serious note:
I don't know what you expect.  Homosexuals are what,  6 or 7 percent of the population?  Since there are eight different combos of relationship in ME2 (3 mshep, 3fshep, each with kelly) and one of them are homosexual, that would put the percentage of relationships in ME2 that are homosexual at roughly 12 percent, double the percentage of homosexuals in the US.  But maybe that's not enough.  Perhaps Bioware should appease every single minority out there....

I mean come on dude.  Just enjoy the game.  If you want to screw guys, make a chick sheperd.  It's that easy.  Did you ever think that it just doesn't fit any of the characters in ME2 to be gay?  I mean come on...  Thane is a badass assassin who I'm surprised is a romance for ANYBODY.  Garrus is a turian (very conservative).  Maybe Jacob, I guess.  But that's only because I really don't know the character all that well.  I'm not trying to offend you, but look at it this way.  Homosexuals are a minority.  The VAST minority.  Don't expect a whole lot of representation.
