Well, I fear that the "minority" argument applies here--Bioware wants to appeal to as many people as possible, and probably sees exclusively homosexual NPCs as inefficient.   <_<  Which is a pity, since I really think that a lesbian only Leliana would have been more true to her character.  :/

Really? I thought that as a bard she'd have to romance people of both genders. :/

Still I don't think it would have hurt to make a male version of the asari race. Fluid, sexually liberated and despite having all the physical qualities of men didn't count as such.

I always took that as she'd have to seduce people of both genders.  xD  It's just that, at least to me, Leliana's backstory does not actually suggest that she likes men much beyond bardic requirements... nor does she speak terribly fondly of them.  :/  Then again, half of DA romancables don't start with an emotional investment, so... actually, you're right.  xD

As for male Asari: That.  Would.  Be.  Awesome.

Also: we really shouldn't need to shut down this thread.  It changes tones and topics a lot anyway.  There were times before worse than this, so yeah.  We shall overcome!

Why were you apologising? Some of the pics were no "worse" than showing the happy faces of two males...even the insinuation of homosexuality seems to be enough to get something labelled as vulgar. There is no reason to exclude gays. It shouldn't be too resource costly to add a single gay option for each gender, hopefully as DLC.
