Which is fine, just understand that the romance aspect adds a lot of enjoyment and replayability for some.

I'm with you on that point. Story is most important to me. But some people are just frustrated to see 4 het options for male Shep and no gay one. Especially in a game about choice. And I do think the romance adds another depth to the story. The story in ME changes for the character if he romances Ash, for instance. It makes the Virmire choice more important, IMO.

Agree with the sentiment (so tired of this) but Bioware kind of shot themselves in the foot when they did an about-face and included NG+.
