BIOWARE, it's 2010, players should have a same-sex romance option.

You just said in your exact same post that you barely know any homosexuals at all.  How would you possibly know if they're up for military service or not?

Also, there's this tiny little law that sorta bars homosexuals from openly serving in the military.  You may have heard of it in passing or something, I dunno.

Oh, what a cliché.

Yeah, you haven't met me... I'm all for murder, death, violence, etc! That "most" you used there is actually the minority of the minority soo.... :police:

Aaaanyway... That scene was... really tacky.

Furthermore, a 10% population....even increasing in the US and Canada is still VERY small. The chance that Shepard or his 5 crewmates from ME1 would be homosexual is unbelievably slim. Furthermore, expand that out to 10 crewmembers, the chances are still very very slight that there would be a homosexual among them.

Did you flunk basic math?

Let's leave Shepard out of the equation since his/her sexuality should be decided by the player.

The probability that at least one of the 5 companions would be gay or bi, if the chance is 10% for each, would be about 41%. I don't know what your definition of very slight is, but 41% isn't what most people are thinking of when they use the phrase.

Edit: and since you can't do math, with 10 crewmenbers the probability goes up to over 65%.

It's not realistic, and it's not needed. Bioware, just like lot's of other people and companies, have to keep the moral compass of the majority in mind.

Everytime the same stupid arguments against this topic. Start to except that there is homosexuality and people wants to see it, even if they are heterosexual. I think punks like Suze are of what percentage? 5? 2? We don`t do that in that case, so we should stop here. I mean, we didn`t even now how it`s in 200 years, maybe we have 10% everywhere, because the people are sexually more free and try more out. And 10% everywhere would cause a very, very, very, very, very, very high possibility to met a homosexual. And in big cities today it`s also highly possible to met someone who has at least experience in this topic. That doesnt count for all people but for many and that someone dont do in the US isn`t a wonder but typical if I think about the religion factor in this country but Europe is a little bit more developed in this topic.

thats all it ever is. Im not tryin to be mean but the only reason lesbian stuff like this gets into any non porn game is for pure fanservice. its mostly aimed at the male audience.... not "lets put in something for the lesbian gamers" its sad but true...

I understand that.  But, they have included these relationships in past games (DA:O for example).  And, I believe there are some males that enjoy f/f relationships for more reasons than just the sex.

I clearly said "that I know". I know a few. So in my case, its a majority of a minority.

Plus, the rule is against being openly homosexual. That doesn't mean that homosexuals don't serve.

The majority that I know are the cliche homosexuals....and cliches are always steeped in truth,

Then lets be serious....what percentage of that small percent would you imagine on a battlefield? Most of the homosexuals I know aren't really up for shooting, killing, blood, and guts.

So you want Bioware to add something that's not realistic, but so that your personal preference of an option is in the game?

LOL, you don't know much of the world if you really believe this sheltered crap.

That vid of kelly was maybe the dumbest thing I've ever seen, I imagine it's just as stupid for male sheps... wow, and I thought the coffee scene in GTA Andreas was bad, but that's just sad on so many levels...

That makes me weary of any of the romances, hetero or not, I don't care because that my friends was made of ...

Okay. I couldn't resist checking out the Kelly video, and I have officially gone from being disappointed to being pissed off.

What the **** Bioware? The one option for lesbians is the trashy space-**** who has no real relevance to the story? That's really emotionally engaging isn't it? And gay guys get nothing at all? Again?

GOD. DAMN. IT.

Actually the law is dont ask dont tell. so while they can not ask about your sexual preferance, you also do not go around telling people. As a marine I have known a few gay marines, one was my BF and we watched our backs for 13 months straight. I knew he was because he told me a few others, and we where fine with it, at the very least I didn't have to worry about him screwing my Girl in my bed or something like that.

Oh no,

Kelly still brings the catsuit for FemShep!

FemShep only gets to cuddle afterwards...

Welp, that's one romance option I'm never going to do. Image IPB

I highly doubt I'll do it either.  It's totally cheesy.

And it's weird.  Kelly just hangs out in your quarters all day in her catsuit, drinking champagne.  What the heck?

The thing is, the ending would appeal more to the asexual crowd than to... well... anyone else. Image IPB We're called cuddle-****s for a reason, ya know. Image IPB However, the... uh... sexy(?) clothing and the provacative(?) dancing both mean it was an attempt to appeal towards the sexuals of the world. Image IPB So... yeah. I dunno. Also, her face. Could the Devs make FemShep look any boreder if they tried? I was half-expecting her to yawn!

Well, yeah.  Exactly, thank you for agreeing.  There may be many, homosexuals in the military who just aren't out or open about their sexuality.

Anywho, I can't see the Kelly scene at school, can someone describe what happens in it?  Thanks.

I agree with you. Most people are aholes when expressing why they are against something, particularly homosexuality. And I also agree that it's very easy to meet someone whos homosexual in a big city.

However, that does not negate the fact that 5% of the worlds population is a very small percentage...and a small percent would actively serve in the military (this doesn't neccessarily mean because they can't physically or emotionally, but that they are generally less apt to take a human life unless extreme circumstance dictate...they're generally about peace and love).

This makes the chance of running into a homosexual in the military extremely slim. That's all I'm saying. It's not realistic. Bioware would add them to just please people.

That doesn't mean you can't TELL if someone is gay.

And to respond to the cliche blacks thing....so? The fact of the matter is that generally, cliches have a certain truth to them. How far racists/society expound that is not the point.

Only 7% of the worlds population lives in North America, soo, should this game be in Chinese or Hindi?

Wow guy.  What universe do you live in that you can tell if people are gay by looking at them?  I'd like to live there, it'd make my life a whole lot less complicated.

And your other point...I'm not even going to touch that.

I know!  That's the worse part.

Like I said before, it's because FemShep is considered to be canonically heterosexual now.
